I have elected to tip 20% minimum presently for all food orders, but so many of my local favs have now shutered entirely for the duration that I no longer have that option. Generally tho, I say tip *as much as you can* even if it’s 50% for small orders. We’re all helping one another and if you can afford to spend a Read more

It’s most likely because they don’t want to commit to their lies in writing where it would be legally enforceable. When I sued (and won btw) a local Toyota dealer they tried everything they could to get me to call them to talk each time, and the only time I did there was a team of 5 people on the phone who started Read more

Oh man I am sorry to hear all this. I hope venting did help a bit, no worries here my friend. It sounds like the best thing you could do is to do anything in your power to move yourself out of that place when July renewal comes up. Prioritize that for your mental and physical well being. This line really struck me, “I Read more

Same here, and got to relive that experience back in 2010 when I was back in the Midwest, tho the branch I went to was closed shortly after because the employees were dealing drugs through the drive-up window. Read more

You say it’s your house, and while many places have non-eviction clauses on the books, if you’re state doesn’t or even if those statues don’t apply to home rentals like yours, you may want to dangle the carrot that you don’t want to evict them at a time like this but due to their continued disregard for your personal Read more

Thank you for the further detail, I had no idea how this worked and will now pay special attention to the labels. I hope you find relief soon for your family.

Thank you for the kind words friend. Absolutely, one reason I bought this one is because it was a driver and was always registered, never off the road. That is exactly what kept her in good mechanical shape. Wishing you the best on your drives and stay safe!

Well said. I got mine in “well used but well loved” condition so to me I didn’t feel a need to restore it, but for cars I buy newer or in good shape I tend to maintain them to that standard so they don’t degrade. My Coupe is actually my first “patina” car and I love it because I’m not worried about keeping it Read more

That doesn’t seem analogous to me. A leaking roof is damage, that can be more directly compared to a leaking sunroof or a leaking softtop in this example, you would repair that with a new rubber seal or patch in the case of a survivor car, not necessarily replace the whole top. Plenty of people have homes with natural Read more

I’ve had my W111 coupe for sale for a couple of years now, lots of honest patina given that she’s a survivor car, and I’ve put $20-25k into the mechanicals but never touch cosmetics. To me this is the perfect old Benz coupe, you can drive it without worry but she’s dead reliable given the work that’s been done. My Read more

I was going to suggest that the owners put it on a locations website and earn some cash, seems tht’s exactly what they’re doing. As long as Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee is around they should do brisk business with a noted “human interaction hater” like Seinfeld.

Correct, it was clearly modeled after the Audi A7 in profile and that in turn was a copy of the MB CLS, so it’s all derivative to a degree. Odd that so many people are getting upset that you pointed out something quite obvious and well known.

I always notice when a sports car appears to be riding at a height more equivalent to a lifted 4Runner, because it’s on a trailer rig being towed. Or when they remove the whole damned windshield to eliminate glare, tho these days they tend to just use a shade. The best use two circular shades so the visible area fits Read more

Thanks for this info, I remmeber thinking, “is that a Flightmaster?” but never figured out what it was during the screening. Seems like the slightest inclusion into popular culture these days will drive prices up on any watch.

That Jag’s a beauty. I think my ‘62 220se coupe is one of the best pillarless designs out there. Not my actual car, mine’s white over red.

Sorry, never going to apologize for calling out crap, label-created “bands” for being crap label-created bands. Music taste is subjective, but you gotta have taste in music first.
