Ha, clicked star before realized it was you! *thumbs up*

You have the same fever clearly! lol Congrats on that like-new Tundra! I had a flock of Canadians in my LX two weeks ago and they assumed it was brand new vehicle until the third day in when they saw the mileage (249,000 mi). These things last like the whole vehicle is made out of old MB-Tex material!

I can agree with all of those points actually. Haven’t lived in LA for 12-years and I know things have only gotten worse.

No, it was technically a “Brute” conversion that I saw on the road and liked, but they were too pricey ($40,000 for the kit alone) so I went searching for an LC 100-series and came back with the LX after months of searching for a good one since they are more plentiful.

At the time I was daily driving my ‘62 220se coupe (I don’t have a commute and my driving is all discretionary) and wanted a Land Cruiser 80-series since that was my childhood dream car. Tried a few out but I didn’t fit so started looking at new vehicles, I still get a discount on any Chrysler/Jeep product from a reti

Why the hell would you not? I lived in apartment buildings but loved visiting neighbors with their lawns for some “outdoor time” in the city.

If they made this thing 6-months ago it would be in my driveway now instead of a Lexus LX.

Not even a little bit.

That’s a normal ranch with a finished basement in most places I’ve lived, in LA we always made fun of the fools with 10,000 sq/ft homes that took up the entire lot with no lawn whatsoever. Of course those people won't be buying a Hyundai, so yes, 3,000 sounds about right.

It’s a small little neighborhood between the farther east affluent hoods like Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and Brentwood but before you reach the PCH just south of Malibu. It’s one of my favorite places in LA and where I’d chose to live because I like the convenience to so many things I enjoy in that art of the city.

From getting my license through my 20's I always loved and drove “Old man cars”, first was a ‘57 Cadillac followed by a couple Jaguar sedans (XJ6, MKX), then I got into sportier cars (944, supercharged Mercedes)through my 30's, then I decided I was wasting my time and money if I didn’t have one Classic Coupe to keep

Even back in the day I thought people are idiots who used theirs for exactly this reason. “Oh man rock chips will make my car look bad to 15% of the population and then only if they are within 4-feet of my car to actually notice, but this ugly, puffy mass of half-formed vinyl really accentuates the designer’s original

“1) Driving barefoot is perfectly legal. Show me any state law. Your beliefs are wrong. Also Santa is not real.

“in fact, I believe it’s illegal in most states.”

Those are dope! I checked and they don’t make for my Lexus LX but I see where you can request a model but looks like they only make them in black. I would want grey to match the interior. Cool option for black interior cars.

Sometimes people do things for fun as well as education.

I buy a fitted set of Weathertechs for every car I purchase. Gets all that hassle out of the way immediately. On older cars I do prefer Cocomats sisal mat material as it is a perfect compromise between the benefits of carpet mats but the utility of rubber mats.

“West did not comment on the shirt as cellular reception is very spotty in the Sunken Place.”

I’m happy to exchange notes, I already worked that bit out before I saw the correction. I’ll send my numbers over for you to verify.

The car and idea of the film is definitely better than the actual movie, doesn’t hold up too well, but still a great Sunday afternoon type of flick.
