Haha, I feel ya. I sometimes end up using my LEFT FOOT for the throttle after my right leg wears out after a couple of hours of speed changes. I tend use both feet when driving normally, have since I was a kid, so it’s not as hard to get used to as it might sound.

If you haven't watched it in adulthood you might change your mind. Kinda like TRON.

The things that catch me out on long drives in an old car (like my ‘62 220se coupe) are things like seat discomfort, driving position due to lack of adjustments, heavier throttle/brake/clutch feel that can wear you out or give leg cramps. For me those are the real challenges.

I have a similar pic of my ‘62 W111 coupe next to my former W202 sedan and even tho the coupe feels like a massive, long-ass boat when I’m in it, next to a modern vehicle it looks like a pedal car, and the W202 was a decade old by then.

Thank you, this was necessary!

I’m with it but fear that keeping her running would cost more than a trendy apartment in a high rise in the tech district.

Yall kidding with this? There’s only one answer.

To a degree yes but I mean make them cheap right off the bat and blow the doors off the competition. What if Testa had subsidized the Model S so they all cost $45k, there would be like 25% of cars on the road would be a Tesla by now. I’m tossing out wildly made up numbers but just to make a general point.

None of these. Go to Fred Meyer, (I think they are part of the Kroger chain so other affiliated stores will have the same item) and grab their Private Selection store brand. They come in some pretty gourmet setups with plenty of vegetarian options too, but the best part is the ingredients because these are actually

Genius move Porsche. I was having a chat with a couple of car buds this week about exactly this, how a car maker should follow the old VHS vs BETA battle and just invest a ton of cash into subsidizing the cost straight off so it’s more affordable for buyers, they sell a ton, gain market advantage, and the now-ramped

Somebody needs to be the first to kickstart this but... Jaguar? The Prince of Darkness wants to go all electric? Lexus is working so hard on being different and special and tech-heavy that they really seem like the ones who should be embracing the concept of going EV only.

I’m happy that I have no idea what you’re talking about. The less I know about him the better I am most likely.

I hope I never have to know the answer.

That he was a useless turd nugget oxygen waster.

Let him fall off the stage. I can’t confirm this is true (strictly for legal reasons) but I worked with a girl who used to date Durst and she was very often bruised and said he would beat her. I always thought he was nothing more than walking trash ever since then.

I’m not a Jeep guy by any stretch but man this sucks for owners. Especially when you purchase something “rugged” and it turns out to be built to the same standard as an Easy-Bake Oven. I hope everybody gets meaningful repairs and replacements and let’s hope this doesn’t extend to other welds all over the frame.

I’ve seen this car a few times and know the owners. They showed it at the local concours which added exactly one mile to the odometer. There’s a really thorough story written about this car by a local automotive writer if you want to know the full story behind this car.

Absolute truth right there my friend!

Exactly what I came here to say, just call the new SUV the Royale and be done. It will sell like crazy to those with the means to acquire one.

I actually forgot I did a piece about this back in 2011 where I posted live updates while I drunk myself into a stupor. (Thank Gawd my beer choices has evolved since then.) Here’s my quote on Mr. Waltrip:
