They can have the same effect by using traditional Police armored vehicles that can carry more people and also be used for breaching entry ways. These cars are way too heavy and lacking agility to work as a patrol car, so they are more like the worst of both worlds than a viable answer. Also those traditional armored v

100-percent thought that was a screen cap of John Candy.

Whaaaaaat??? They reused an existing platform for an electric car??? How much fucking money does MB have and they didn’t make a bespoke chassis for this thing, that’s really surprising for me especially considering how important of a vehicle this is for them. I totally expected a massive frunk up there, that’s the

Oddly I was thinking of Mercedes when I wrote that. I thought pretty much all sunroofs were made by one company (I could be wrong) so figured they all had similar failure rates and maintenance needs but maybe the Benz ones are just worse somehow. You might know about the special lube they sell through the parts dept. t

Died??? Holy fuck. We are so lost as a civilization I swear. Awful.

Thanks man, definitely appreciate your perspective here and the added info. When I got my LX I had a preference for the Land Cruiser version because it was simpler and “less to go wrong” but I accepted the risk for the tech that the Lexus has. What do you drive now if I may ask and do you specifically seek vehicles

I have  14-year old Lexus LX who’s sunroof still works perfectly so I’m actually in your camp on the sunroof thing.

It sounds like you countered your own argument, so if it won’t affect the original buyer of the vehicle the potential maintenance issues matter even less. Should car manufacturers base their design and engineering on the wants and needs of the car’s second and third owners over that of the original buyer? Did a pano

I find this very interesting as I just read this article at HuffPo a few days back about how black Americans traditionally tend to keep their receipts for just the same reason you stated. Had I not read that article I probably would have glanced right over that part of your post, but its very telling and just one

I think having a design element that adds so much adaptability and pleasure to the daily experience of driving the car, yet only requires a little bit of grease on the rails twice a year, is more than a reasonable tradeoff.

Do you mean just how sunroofs are prone to fail after a few years regardless of what brand car they’re in? I always thought that was just failure of owners to properly lubricate and maintain the sunroof, or have I misunderstood your post?

Oh fuck, really??? Stop overcomplicating things. It doesn’t matter what the server makes, you don’t even have to worry yourself about that OK? Just act like a regular, normal, decent human being and tip when somebody who isn’t related to you brings you food. Here’s some other useful situations to consider...

Who, exactly, are these other trash-holes surrounding him and pointing like he’s holding the World Cup trophy?

Did you used to work for Haggens?

You know, I have Aspergers too and when I read that I thought..., lol see, it’s cool man, nobody is judging you and I wouldn’t have thought twice about your comment if you hadn’t pointed it out. Another Aspie trait I realize! You do YOU my man!

Having lived and worked in “Hollywood” (tho not as an actor) I can assure you that 99.999999% of all “actors” primary source of income is waiting tables. Most actors do not make living at their chosen profession so its necessary to have a standard job, but one that will allow for flexibility to attend auditions.

Right? Got me blue-balled over here. So much swagger.

You perhaps buried the lede on that 500k, it’s ALL about the mother-of-pearl gauge cluster panel! This was optional as they came “standard” with an engine turned variant.

Another good reason to ask first is because we all have learned from TV car shows that all restorations are finished exactly 45-minutes before they are to be exhibited, so the paint is usually still wet.

I am sorry for that, I Smurfed up big time.
