I read the article. While rebadged may have been a bit of an overstatement on my part this quote says pretty much what I am saying.

Also Lincoln is supposed to be rebuilding a dying/dead brand. They have shot themselves in the foot over and over by selling rebadged Fords. Lincoln claims to be breathing new life into the brand and then.......... another rebadged Ford.

My mom bought my dad a new Harley for Christmas in 2002. I had to ride it home from the dealer a couple days earlier and we kept it hidden in the garage.
