Man, this is sad. My father had TCM on nonstop in the hospital a few months ago as he withered and died slowly. My last memories are riffing on movies with him and telling Orson Welles jokes. It was so great to hear his laugh a few final times. He sure loved his TCM!

Please keep your hands off this one, Zaslav.  TCM is one of the rare remaining cable channels that still feels like it still has a unique identity, that isn’t the usual slop of original programming, reality/competition shows, and reruns.

This is a bullshit headline. You imply that NASA is somehow directly linked to this incident, when what happened was this company took advantage of a 65 year old program that lets NASA support novel development efforts if they think they’ll learn something useful from the process.

It’s not different. There was more coverage of the Thailand cave rescue which didn’t involve rescuing any billionaires in distress. Likewise with the mining collapse rescue in Chile, and other similar stories.

Imagine if these guys are still on their expedition and didn’t do anything after they lost communication. They are millionaires not even thinking about anyone else. Just figured they would complete their tour they paid for.

I would argue these ones are also not super famous in the sense that they have a lot of money but aren’t universally recognized.
