Sounds to me that the “Resistance” resists both the First Order AND the New Republic. . . lol “We resist E’RRYBUDY!” lol Also I had issues with Finn just suddenly changing his mind about being a Stormtrooper. . . and then I heard this:

Wireless recharging should be standanrd on iphone since iP4,

I was wondering what the hell he was holding. It really is not clear at all. This poster is a poster-child (*cough*) for poor poster graphic design.

It looks like Batman is making a scrapbook entry for his exploded love interest.

And yet phones were equipped with software that allowed them to transmit a real-time video stream converted from sonar blips made by the hardware phones back then were made with. I’ll bet the battery life on those phones got a lot of bad reviews.

I’m pretty sure Batman doing emotional pain poses next to wreckage in broad daylight only reminds me of how awful it was. Seriously. That was one painful eyeroll. “DARKNESS/NOW NO LOVE INTEREST/OPENING THE DOOR FOR CATWOMAN KINDA MAKES IT BETTER...”

Er, in real-world, non-galactic soap-opera examples, the Third Reich came to power only 16 years after the German/Prussian Military machine was destroyed by WWI and went on to commit all the highly technological atrocities they did. During the ‘20s, the Germans were so broke due to reparations and the currency so

Pretty much, apparently the the New Republic started demilitarizing and cut down their army to about 10% of what it was during the Galactic Civil War as a peacekeeping force.

I think the movie makes it clear that the Republic and the Resistance are not the same entities. It’s mention at least twice that I can think of.

During the film one of the Resistance controllers says that the fleet was destroyed during the Hosnian Prime attack, so they were without support.

Ummm...Thirty years of technological development happened? Incom didn’t stop building when the Second Death Star blew. The Alliance wasn’t their only customer, and other manufacturers would’ve overtaken them technologically if they’d stuck with a single classic design.

I got the feeling that he was there watching over her, just as Old Ben did for Luke.

I’m glad they left in the silly bits. I always remember the original visual dictionary with a picture of Lando and a label for his “winning smile”

They scrapped the Harrier T-65s due to budget cuts as they already had contracts in place for the F-35 T-70s.

I was promised a naked run, who knows how much rad resistance those boxer briefs secretly give.

“Completely” naked though? ^_-

That’s because Martha Jones had the balls to realize traveling with the Doctor is not a reasonable long-term life plan.

Hell, Martha got herself a full-on badass Mickey as a husband and they became a pair of Space bounty hunters. She got the best deal of all, I’d say.

I sort of interpreted the comment in more of a meta-conceptual way. Like she has known the Doctor and seen him for so long that she doesn’t “see” his different faces the same way we do. It felt to me that she was saying he looked younger the same way an aunt might tell you you look different than she remembers. You
