Agreed. The “reveal” moment was so underplayed in SPECTRE that it wasn’t even a “narrative twist.” I saw it coming, and I was ready to cringe. I was thinking about STID. But then it was okay. I don’t think they made a big deal out of it, so I don’t have any problem with it.

Oh I will say that the cold open in Specter was one of the best in the whole series. All the scenes in Mexico were just fantastic. The cinematography was just mind-blowing basically throughout.

I didn see silva as hating bond at all. If anything he wanted bond to become his partner in crime, to see m for who she was- for abandoning him.

Wanted: Guided Autocrafting.

Crafting is the bane of RPGs.

Future Biff was explicitly based on Trump, so it’s not a stretch at all.

Sharon Holmes.

So SyFy are going to have Wyonna Earp and Vanessa Helsing shows at the same time? I look forward to the eventual ‘Grand-daughters of public-domain characters’ cross-over series.

I thought it worked worse in this film because he was hardly in the movie. So the reveal felt ultra pointless. He has like 5 minutes of screen time in the first two hours and then he’s like “I’m Blofeld” and it was just like why?

Yeah, this was the weakest part for me as well. As Katharine points out

I could buy Spectre as the group behind the Quantum group in Casino and Quantum (essentially a nameless backer, much as they were for Moriarty in this one), but not so much as the people behind Silva. He was just so much more personal.

But for some reason, the makers of this film decided to jump on the terrible bandwagon of making the identities of key characters into an actual narrative twist.

Reposting what I said from the review:

Every Bond movie is flawed, but if you like the movies in general, you should enjoy this one if you can forgive some missteps like this and the lousy opening song. It has some good action scenes, a cool henchman (Dave Bautista is quite intimidating), and a lovely heroine.

Actually it was pretty good. The plot was quite generic and the treatment of women still drowned in 70s sleaze but overall it was a great 2 hours of action.

Snipe bids are 100% meaningless and have no effect whatsoever on an eBay auction where you bid the maximum you were willing to bid. The item sold for more than you were willing to pay, so who cares if the guy that outbid you bid two days before the end, or 2 milliseconds before the end?

I read the recaps before I see the episodes because I know no episode can compare to Genevieve’s recap.

I’ve missed Carmen Sandiego.

Technically, they aren’t allowed to use the term “lightsaber” since Lucasfilm has a live trademark covering it. The other live trademarks cover sound effects (which this Kickstarter project also ignores). Screenshot from the US Patent & Trademark Office :

It was kind of annoying that Constantine didn't subtly hit on any of the men...
