I don’t see how we can just end traffic stops.

It’s obviously tragic that an innocent person was killed. It’s also likely the driver would not have hit that particular parked car if the cop hadn’t flipped their lights on. That said, is the cop just supposed to ignore someone driving recklessly? I’m far from being a Blue Lives Matter person, but I also recognize

I thought the same thing. The reckless driver responded to lights by driving more recklessly and hitting a parked car - something that seems like they could have done with or without the police there.

“This past Tuesday, a Vallejo cop flipped on his red and blues in response to what the department’s PR department called “reckless driving.” Rather than slowing down or stopping, the driver apparently sped off through two intersections before colliding with a parked car”

Let’s not try to pretend that there aren’t huge swaths of red voters who live in blue areas that will avoid EV’s till their last dying breath because Orange Daddy told them to.

That Altima is a Mercedes (per the local news reports, and the cops are hunting for it). If it had been an Altima, it too would have likely been in the drink.

He had one of these:

I was in Miami last month for the first time in years.  The combo of old people doing 40 in the middle lane and charger/mustang/maxima bros doing 120 while weaving around them is not a good combo.  No wonder insurance is so high

And right there you’ve hit upon the reason why car insurance is insanely high in Florida. So many old people and idiots driving on suspended or completely revoked licenses.

And putting any potential rescuers at risk.  I just assume all lakes and canals in Florida are 50% water/50% alligator.  There is no way I am jumping in to save some asshat aggressive driver and risking losing a limb to a gator.

Yeah. Racing in a residential neighborhood. Fucking brilliant.

Now he’s underwater on that car twice.  Hey-o!

Homeboy should lose his license for 5 years.

Dude waited until the last possible second to leave the sinking car. Just in case ‘barreling through a neighborhood and driving into a canal’ wasn’t enough to let you know he’s a giant moron.

Lucky his tires had the right psi, .5 off and it would have been a different story.

Pretty sure that’s a Lambo, dude.

Gaza is literally surrounded by walls, except for their coastline which is heavily policed and any boat straying out of the approved waters gets immediately fired upon by the IDF. There are only two active crossings, one controlled by Egypt, the other Israel. The people of Gaza cannot leave. Israel controls everything

As a Palestinian-American who’s father’s family was forced to flee the country in 1948, I am not sure how they anticipated she would react? Full throated endorsement of the IDF planning an invasion of Gaza?

Israel is an Apartheid state.

This is the same Israeli government that equates periodically slaughtering thousands of innocent Gazans to some moderate yardwork, right? Despicable.
