First gen tricyclic antidepressants actually help fibro, it’s a paradoxical reaction. It has nothing to do with mental health, but rather with nerve pain.

Because there are some pain related diseases that aren’t delusions or aren’t proven to be delusions. It’s unknown at this point if it is mental illness or not. Often times tests cannot diagnose early symptoms of certain diseases and pain seems to be delusional or psychosomatic (for example I test normal but portray

So Joni Mitchell’s and the others in 2015 who think they have Morgellons actually have scabies?

Am I the only one who thinks he needs to be honest about everything? It's a weird situation, but he's done nothing intentionally to hurt her, except not disclosing his sexuality. I think that SHOULD have happened earlier. But it's not the boyfriends fault her dad is also bi or gay.

Bravo! Born and raised in Upstate NY, an area 3 hours north of NYC but with many people with the most ass-backward way of life, values, political opinions, racism and sexism. I heard both the racist, sexist, homophobic shit while also getting the message of “everyone is equal” and “you can be anything you want to be”.

i'm dying to know. Was she always such a douche? Always so large? So screamy?

My older brother walked in on my dad and future stepmom fucking in his auto repair shop. Stepmom was 6 months pregnant with my little brother. Another awful detail, my mom had had rheumatoid arthritis (a pretty debilitating autoimmune disease) for about 2 years at this point.

What's the difference between American and japanese mayonnaise? I don't eat it myself but have seen kewpie around.

That looks like bahn mi. Vietnamese.

find a nearby college that trains therapists, psychologists, social workers, mft's etc. And find out where their students are placed. I'm in the SF Bay Area, there's a ton of us here.

I live with my boyfriend and two roommates. I should start by saying, my boyfriend is somewhat, a tiny tiny bit aspergers, and i'm a therapist, so needless to say we have some conflicts at time, but really, I get a great deal out of the relationship because he's the least sexist man i've ever met ( he thinks it's

Short term therapy only works if you're will ing to go in, be honest, share your story and try new things. Most who go to therapy need time to trust their therapist to do that and go much more slowly.

Meisner= someone putting their name on the age old concept of mindfulness.

Poor mans therapy= finding an intern who charges a low rate or someone with a sliding scale rate. I've found therapy for less than $40/hour. And the fresh out of school therapists know the most and aren't stuck in their ways (says a marriage and family therapy intern herself!)

Here's what I do in my household, whether I'm living with a partner or roommates.:

my exes cpap was nice and quiet. BUT I totally support you, If I could have the whole bed to myself I would in a heartbeat too!

My cat loves shoulder rides. and sitting on peoples backs. SEE?

I'm reading all of these comments, and I do ALMOST all of them, regardless of if I have a partner or not. In fact, my best relationships are the ones where my partner is as weird and quirky and comfortable being their true self as I am.

Your man needs to work on his hygeine. sShowers before bed, lots of deodorant and a cpap machine.

I do this when IN relationships. As does my current partner, because of my weirdness. My cat "Moo" frequently replaces the word "you" in any song I feel like singing. I also sing about EVERYTHING i'm doing. BF thinks it's great.
