This wasn’t the first time Karen has had issues with neglecting her pets. She carries Bagel in a purse and sleeps in airports and city parks when she travels. She’s frequently traveling with Bagel, and isn’t around to take care of her other cats. Ruth and others in the COI have tried to get her help before.

I feel bad that the poor baby had to suffer such neglect. Good thing he's on the mend!

You call the suicide hotline, or some areas have a mental health deescalation and assessment team (ours is called the smart team), you can also call the closes hospital with psychiatric services for an ambulance pick up.

you legally should be able to video record your interaction with the cop on your phone. just let them know you will be recording.

Similar thing happened with a suicidal young woman in Half Moon Bay, CA last year. Her family called in her suicidality for a wellness check, she pointed her knife at officers (as in forcefully asking them to stand back) and they shot her.

Exactly my thoughts. I love her. She’s awful and aware. Instead of the way most people lie to themselves about their awful-ness to feel better, or try to please everyone around them rather than be true to themselves.
