I keep telling you, Ouya is not going to perform well because there's no way in hell good software will be developed for it, at least by developers who are interested in money.

Man, I've been saying that 1998 was the best year in gaming for YEARS now!

I think it's creative that they're billing this like a film, but I hope "GAME X STARRING CELEBRITY Y" doesn't become a mainstream thing. As if we need any more Hollywood culture polluting gaming...(and this is coming from somebody who thinks games and cinema are friends)

It begins.

I work at a local games store. One of the things that still surprises me is that it's not 360, Wii, or PS3 games that still sell the most.

I've heard rumors that Time Warner was interested.

That's actually quite a wise F2P system. Pay for as much play as you want.

Surprise! Almost none of those will run on a Tegra 3 in any way, shape, or form.

What a race! What'll happen first - this movie's cancellation, or EA's stock hitting $10 a share?

Indeed it is. Good thing we've learned from the past not to try and make our consoles multimedia centers with no clear focus!

Wow, they got all of one game done. ._.'

Yikes! Wonder who those guys were?

Ah, makes sense then.

...that's an average of $110 a backer...isn't that a little odd?

It's kind of a cool idea, but nobody would ever want to develop for an open-source console due to piracy concerns. The most you'd ever get is a bunch of ports of mobile games over to it. Nobody would buy it.

Dem Mario playing cards...

Mite B. Cool.

My question is: HOW are they going to do it? Blu-Ray itself is a region-free medium. Will it require online?

At least the rights are in the hands of the studio, and THQ didn't take the IP down with it...

Don't do it, Iwata...you're falling into a trap you won't recover from. Don't shoot your console's relevance in the foot.
