Good article - thank you.

Were you aware that a declaration of independence from the United States (The Declaration of Causes of Seceding States) was written? Were you aware that it states clearly that the reason for secession was slavery?
impractical (def): not adapted for use or action; not sensible or realistic
Diesel cars are not horrible (ignoring particulate emissions), but they are impractical in the United States. The fuel economy can be bested by a hybrid if that is the primary concern. But diesel passenger cars are (arguably) worse than any EV when you cannot fuel it at home and there are limited options on the road.
109. Not that I’m counting.
Came here to type exactly that. Thanks for saving me the time.
Did I miss the explanation of why a couple pieces of red plastic sells for $450? Does it include the vehicle?
It is meant to be a hook to bring a first-time customer into the brand - not to make money. But, apparently someone crunched the numbers and realized it just isn’t worth it.
Have you looked at the total cost of ownership? When you factor that in, a Model 3 costs less than a comparable Camry or Accord. I think all new cars cost too much, but it seems that Tesla’s Model 3 is definitely cost competitive, when considering the total cost over 5 years, with ICE family autos.
Yes, a disgusting history of human ownership, degradation, torture, and murder. If they truly understand the “history” then they will understand the flag needs to remain in history textbooks.
Ignoring that this vehicle is competing against 40-60K vehicles, not 25K ones, and that you can order one for less than 55K ...
Population size, history, and racial diversity are important factors to consider when making choices of how to test a new idea, but not factors to eliminate the idea entirely. After all, no country in the world remotely matches the U.S. on those three elements.
Brilliant move! No one even remembers the name Mazda used before MX-5.
I LIKE HAVING DOUBLE SPACES AFTER THE DOT. IT MAKES IT SO MUCH EASIER TO READ! THAT REMINDS ME, I HAVE SOME OTHER SUGGESTIONS THAT MAKE TEST MUCH EASIER TO READ, TOO ...
Our family loves owning an EV - and, what you are saying is (mostly) true. An EV is an ideal “every day” vehicle, but as soon as a family needs to go on a road trip, they are, at best (Tesla on a trip along a supercharger path), far less convenient.
Minimizing the risk is absolutely measurable. It means that we have taken measures that keep the reproduction number below R1, and moving toward R0. There are many things that contribute to that, and none of the states are currently at that level, but many states are past the peak and slowly moving toward that level.
Ultimately, the debate about opening things up or keeping them closed is academic. Citizens will continue to research what is happening and decide for themselves when they are going to venture outside. Look no further than the protesters piling on top of each other throughout the country. Right now the vast majority…
A reasonable question, and the answer is “no” - we need a lot more testing and we will continue to need a lot more testing until the vaccine is widely available.
