its ok. i love it too. i read and loved the books and recognize the disparities between the two but I goddamn love this movie to death. the imagery is amazing. My dad (who is 81 now) took me to see this and movies like 2010 and it probably made me who i am today

None whatsoever. Thankfully Jesus not fathering children has saved Christendom from that series of unpleasantness the Muslims had over the Sunni/Shia split. Although at this point, I doubt the faithful would care.

The Batman movie really is a classic. I still try to work "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb" into conversations.

Hands down Shatner's best performance. Well, except for "Rocket Man."

I *still* maintain that 2001: A Space Odyssey is about getting a good meal. They show packaged food on the Pan-Am flight to the moon, space paste on board the trip to Jupiter. Once Dave goes through the light show, he ends up getting a nice fish dinner. The lengths some people will go to for properly prepared fish!
