It wasn't revealed there, but it is written down on the games facebook page and given the trailer it makes sense. She's 24 in Mirror's Edge, so I'd reckon around 18-20 given that she left home at age 16.

Well, it is a prequel, so she is suppose to look younger. So in that regard it makes a bit more sense. She was also more muscular defined in the original, or at least appeared to be. The question now is, how much younger is she?

I do too, but if this is the price we have to pay, then it's a bargain. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if there would be a mod to fix that very swiftly after release.
