Some of the story looked interesting but the voice acting was dull, the exploration uninteresting and the combat was, in my opinion, horrible. I didn't know what the fuck I was doing half the time, I was just cycling through all the attacks that weren't cooling down until I beat the boss.

The only thing that stops me from getting excited is that I didn't much like Xenoblade.

You did take it to heart man, and that's okay. You proceeded to calling out Playstation game series' like Killzone in defense of Nintendo's repetitive Mario games. You're a Nintendo fan and that's cool.

Yes, and I LOVE IT.

That is terrible logic.

Got it - so if you're attractive, it's cute. If you're old, you're an asshole.

I perform similar about-turns when I notice someone whom I 'think' I may know, but am not entirely sure. Hell, I even sometimes stare at them as they walk away thinking, "do I know him/her...? he/she looks really familiar..." while wracking my brain about it.

I'd hate to be labeled as a symbol of male sexist behaviour

I've seen this counterpoint come up a few times over the last few days and it puzzles me to no end.

Oh so you are discriminating his looks? wow..and girls are talking about double standards, ok..

Apply that same statement about self control to Homosexuality and you would be shouted down off the internet. That said his looks was harmless. It wasn't that 'he was programmed that way and couldn't help himself'. He did it because he wanted to and it was harmless. No need for "self control" for this situation.

welcome to real life

But isn't mobile gaming on the decline, what with Zynga losing money hand over fist now, kinda proving that it is a volatile market?

We are a niche market, but the kind of market that spends 400 for a console and 60 for a game, not the ones that if you are lucky will buy you a 99 cents game

Sounds Great. People who can't distinguish the value between console gaming and what is on offer in the app store do not really have a positive impact on the types of game I'm interested in playing. If some developers move to mobile, then I don't mind because the people who want to make interesting console/PC games

Yeah, Mog, Gau, and Umaro are oh so fleshed out. Shadow, with his virtually nonexistent development in the form of a few backstory dream sequences, is such a rich character. And Kefka, well, we all know that "I'm crazy and want to destroy the world just because" makes for the most compelling villains. Oh, and I care

Ok, cool. Nobody mentioned FFXIII though. If you wanna dislike its cast then that's fine but do it where it's actually being discussed.

Despite what others are telling you you're really not far from the truth. FFVI's characters are by no means bad but they're far from developed or fleshed out. There are just way too many and the game doesn't spend enough time on them individually to have a proper gradual development. It's probably the game's biggest

Agreed. I loved XII precisely because it was so different, it's genuinely unlike any other game in the series. There's only so many times you can play as the typical fate-bound hero who alone must save the universe! It was great to play a regular guy who happened to get caught up in crazy events, Vaan was a window

I put 224 hours into XII, it was plenty big enough for me, plot-wise.

FFXII was a solid story, it just wasn't the regular world ending scenario. I found it to be a refreshing change.
