Not being an asshole, but how do we know the new DA knew about Castor’s deal? That was one of the points of the dissent. It’s not reasonable to conclude that a press release is the same as an immunity agreement. Didn’t the appellate court agree? And why not order a new trial? This is a one-off decision to free one…

Then how on earth did this apparent prosecutor misconduct get past the appellate court? Hey, Cy Vance wrote on a napkin that I can do whatever I want in New York County for the rest of my life. So I'm good, right?
