The blaster stance was really cool! But it didn’t feel very cinematic - I ended up pulling it because I loved the animations for the staff-saber, and it was great for mobs of enemies. And I also used the Crossguard stance because it’s stupid powerful.

If I’d had a 3rd available slot I’d have gone with blaster, but...

I didn’t think I would mind the cameras in-set in the screen, but that’s pretty obnoxious. I think I’d hate it.

It sounds like the expected Fold5 will be more my speed on the outer screen. Similar size, but there’s a small ‘folder’ cutout that avoids impacting the camera.

I will admit that as a married dude with two kids, the Switch has been really ideal for this kind of thing.

It does, of course, assume that your kids aren’t already using the PS5 if you want to use it that way. I think I’ll stand by with “situationally useful and I’ll get one once the price goes down”.

The armor is remarkably easy to upgrade once you’ve scouted out a few of the towers, compared to some other sets: It just requires various drops from the Light Dragon and a couple other relatively easy to get items. It’s a little grindy but not actually hard.

It has a really high defense, too: Normally, level 4 gear

How is there a game called Ultros that ISN’T about a purple weird octopus?

That’s certainly possible. Still not great, but more useful for sure.

Right? If it’s streaming only and only within your own house, I guess that’s at best situationally useful? But I can’t see that this succeeds at all.

To another users point, it might be worth picking one up when it fails and the price drops out the bottom.

Pretty much. It’s seems like a curiousity and not that useful, but I’d pick one up for cheap and use it every once in a while.

I can’t imagine it’ll sell well.

Additionally, Epona has a huge weakness as a horse: You can’t put a harness on her.

She’s a fantastic horse stat-wise (and looks great) but she’s utterly useless for moving those damn Koroks around.

I don’t know - I’d be pretty happy if (in a future Zelda game) they’re explicit about it. Or they bring up that there’s been multiple Zelda and Links over time and there’s always been a close bond, and that ‘sometimes it’s even become romantic’.

That way, we get some confirmation but it’s left up to our interpretation

I’m really surprised it wasn’t required - it’s emotional, impactful and contains a lot of really distinct lore for the game.

In fact, if you do this early it breaks some of the later reveals - you already know some key pieces of information that some of the characters aren’t aware of. Though I haven’t finished this

Skyward Sword was pretty blatant in that the two really cared for each other romantically (even if it wasn’t acted on) - and BotW had a lot of written material in diaries and flashbacks that indicate a growing romantic interest from Zelda towards Link at minimum.

In TotK, there’s quite a few references from other

You’re getting a lot of hate here, but you’re not wrong. Neither are they, exactly.

Office culture has changed a LOT since covid. I have a lot of good friends with my co-workers, I know a lot of people who I don’t directly work with and it really does make me (and those people) more efficient and it makes the work much

I mean, I live in california. I used to take caltrain every day, and it was pretty good! And many of my friends took it (or Bart) into SF, and it was both quite a bit cheaper than living in SF and also quite a bit faster than driving.

This is very cool!

Faceware has had this capability for awhile (using webcams to track expressions, eye direction, etc.), but it wasn’t public and developers had to pay for it. Developers also have to hook in the code, it wasn’t configurable by users, etc

In California, this happens a LOT. Public Transit can be a fantastic way to get to work, since you get to read, relax, work or play on the train and don’t have to deal with terrible traffic.

But the guy looks fundamentally sad, so: DUI is a def possibility

I liked it! It’s about a guy who gets to be shocked out of “proper” adulthood and into feeling a sense of wonder, or being excited enough that he bucks his normal life a bit.

Get out of the rut you’re in: Play Zelda. As a middle aged dude, I’ll take it.

You know, it’s funny. I see a lot of complaining from the video game press about the Mario movie (cookie cutter! designed to sell!), but we went to see it with the kids and everyone loved it. And it’s getting great word of mouth.

It’s not a great movie in terms of art, but it’s really fun and enjoyable and people seem

Was anyone else hyped even more because we’re seeing the traditional Zelda musical themes coming back? Gotta admit, I got a thrill hearing the original motifs show up at dramatic moments. Hopefully that’s in the actual game, and not just the trailer.

Oh, and the game looks amazing too

While you’re not wrong, one of the other entries (or at least, the video of it) is Superhot VR.
