How big of a screen are you playing on?
I’ve played this on my 35" TV and the fonts are perfectly readable. Maybe I’m just closer to the TV than you are.

No problems whatsoever with my 3070, but this sounds like a problem with the specific video card, NOT the computer game.
That said, the beta is surprisingly fun, and it convinced me to pick up the full game. I’d be playing it now if your beta progress carried over, but... <shrug>
I’ve got a couple of 3rd party joycons for my switch too, but I almost never end up using them - they didn’t feel ‘right’. Which is too bad, since some of them are pretty comfy. But I haven’t tried them in a year or two, so maybe they’re better now.
The “steam hardware (except for VR) doesn’t receive much support after a year or so” is what makes me leery about this.
Well, that and the really uncomfortable looking buttons placement. But I’d have to hear more about that first.
Good news: it looks like each model will have a SD card slot. I’m still skeptical on the whole thing overall, but that’s good news at least.
Yeah. They’re making the mouse/trackpad the default position for the your thumbs, while the buttons themselves are super fucking weird in terms of position. This is probably going to hurt the fuck out of my wrists and thumbs to play.
I mean, the new Switch looks really sexy. I’m disappointed in the lack of a speed increase (don’t even care about 4k, but I’d like to play Age of Calamity without significant frame drops thanks).
No need to buy one of these myself, but as others have kept pointing out the Switch is selling great right now and the sales…
So, obvious Skyward Sword references with floating islands and so on. What interests me are some of the musical choices near the end that sound like they’re from Twilight Princess.
Wondering if we’re about to get a game where they pull on pieces from all the older games.
Yep. That was my point at the time - the weapon degradation was a surprisingly good system to me, because you could get weapon drops and they were always useful, and it encouraged you to try a lot of different weapon types.
Also, once you unlocked a few extra weapon slots you never had a problem with having good…
It looks fun, but also a really bizarre remake of the original FF (or technically, maybe the original FF’s beginning because that game has some weird shit going on in it).
Also, this has not given me any confidence that their writing is above a 3rd grade level.
This is not too useful for anyone who’s already started, but the Deadeye class can get a perk that let’s you do double damage with all 2-handed non-atuo guns.
Yeah. That means your rifles and shotguns just do insane damage. You can double that up with additional perks to have all ranged weapons do 15% extra and…
Ugh. $10 says it’ll be a mobile game.
Otherwise: If it’s not a new mainline game, a remaster of DQVIII or IX would be rad. Builders 3 or DQM would be fantastic.
But DQ XI was the ‘anniversary’ Dragon Quest, with a lot of references to previous games. If they make a DQ XII they’ll need to branch out in a new direction or…
The Rotgland Lobber is SO BAD. I hate it.
But the Thermogenic Launcher is pretty great with the “Huge Rocket” perk, or whatever it’s called. It gets massive stun damage and makes things much easier, especially when you have a lot of semi-tough mobs to deal with.
There are a few HUGE difficulty spikes in this game and they’re really frustrating. (I’m currently bashing my head against the 2nd biome midbosses - if you don’t have the right weapon for this they basically just murder you and there’s not a lot you can do about it).
It’s fun as hell, but if I had to restart from…
Completely agree. It was pretty and I enjoyed it for ~20 hours, and then I realized it was never going to change and that flying on a drone made a lot of the really difficult missions trivial.
I just sort of stopped playing and moved on after that. Not much reason to return, either.
They aren’t. Berseria kind of did this (but went more towards ‘revenge’ in my opinion), and there’s usually some character in the games that go with “angst” because it’s a trope. But it’s never a real theme outside of Tales of the Abyss.
I’d like it if they made this either on a really long countdown (10 minutes?) or had you slot it in as an active power.
Since I play Devastator I don’t usually have a big problem with snipers. But sometimes you get tripped up on terrain, accidently get into cover on a wall, or something else and have to replay a long…
It’s a lot of fun, it really is. It has these great portions (especially in the early game) where they throw you in a hub level and you get to explore a bit, try to find new resources and items, etc. Really awesome. And early in the game the Terminators are fucking scary and will wreck your shit if you run into one.
It’…
I really enjoyed this one back on PC maybe a year and a half ago. It’s clearly not AAA, but they did a fantastic job with it and it was fun, atmospheric and engaging.
The only problem I had is that near the end of the game you’re basically an unstoppable terminator killing machine, where you get rushed by 10 T-800s…
Ugh. These guys are a huge pain. They’re always solvable, but sometimes they show up in the middle of a fight where you’re already running and gunning like crazy and then you have a real situation on your hands.
Take a Devastator friend with Bullet Reflect with you to make them way, way less annoying. It’s the…
