Yeah, it's the invincible scorpion man all over again (an anti-piracy measure for a Serious Sam game.)

I think it's less a homage than it is trying to make a world that seems entirely plausible. It's trying to capture how Lego bricks would look and move if they were to actually come to life in reality, or using a decent analogue, and the world is intended to come from that real place.

Erm…first off, did you know this is a thing that happened? Two years ago, in fact? Yeah, the tools are purple and it's a fairly isolated incident but it did happen.

It was actually kind of annoying and sweet all at once. Here he is, having a blast and I'm over here trying to explain how bishops work. Ah, well.

The animation was meant to mimic stop-motion animation, despite being all CGI. Keep in mind people actually make stop-motion films with Lego all the time. Example:

I think the problem is that the Friends sets actually sold very well. So from that perspective Lego probably don't see the need to stop doing a good thing.

Yeah, Lego is pretty expensive: I never really saw it as a barrier to entry before. Then again, I'm earning my own money now, which may skew my perspective somewhat...

Is this an actual Lego set? I'm no great expert on the, ah…more female oriented ones but this doesn't look like any one I've seen. The car seems a bit too…pre-fabricated, for a start.

Why the ass should she have to take a rape joke? I don't claim to be an expert on American culture, but you seem to have something of a rape problem. And in that light, a 'rape room' seems like a pretty poorly judged idea.

Do they? Excellent.

I don't understand comments like this at all. I mean, nobody's saying you have to build the set the way it's done in the instructions, are they? And when you factor in that you will probably have other Lego bricks to hand, even licensed sets aren't the dead end you make them out to be. I've completely disassembled at

We have been getting females in sets like those the Lego City range: female firefighters, female police officers, female Arctic explorers... even female rubbish collectors. It might not be at complete gender parity levels, which is worth addressing, but it is there. And of course there's stuff like the Research

I realise Frozen is not a perfect film- the plot has some pretty silly twists for a start, 'love will thaw' being the most egregious. But it's been a while since we had a half-decent musical Disney animation, I think Elsa is kind of kickass and Olaf is probably one of Disney's best comedy reliefs, so…I can't bring

Now, some of those identifiably gender variant individuals involved in Stonewall would have been drag queens, who we would now identify as cisgender gay men using drag for social commentary.

I suspect there's several reasons that these exist. One is that children like to buy toys like this, as do many adult collectors. Another is that parcelling out DLC into small chunks and throwing in a figurine each time to sweeten the deal is turning out to be a great sales tactic.

I don't think that applies if they both actually consent.

Yeah, I was thinking "hey, I recognise this from somewhere," and then it hit me!

I see conventions like GaymerX as serving two distinct purposes. The first is as a meeting ground: as a place you can assume will be frequented by people that both share your interests and are likely to be interested in sharing them with you…and more besides. On the whole, being gay is hard enough as it is without

Yeah, Team Fortress 2 has turned into this massive universe of entirely throwaway exposition. It's pretty cool!

I agree: if Home had been better implemented and given a more central role in the gaming experience (rather than just being shunted off to the side) it could have been something pretty special.
