Going to cover your mouth while riding a bike seems like kind of a bad idea.

Regarding paraphilias, is that actually an accurate distinction to be making, though? I mean, I've just had a look at another definition on Wikipedia, which merely says that a paraphilia is an attraction to atypical objects, situations or individuals. It seems more of a case of the attraction being 'unusual' rather…
I'm not doing any such thing. I'm saying it's an unhelpful set of vocabulary to be using.
Well, the OED defines a paraphilia as 'a condition characterized by abnormal sexual desires, typically involving extreme or dangerous activities.' The 'extreme or dangerous activities' part is probably enough to classify paedophilia as a paraphilia rather than just a sexual orientation, if we consider it actively does…
To play devil's advocate, many people viewed men having an urge to have sex with men as a perversity not so long ago in my country (the UK). Many still do. Our current prime minister, I believe, was in favour of some pretty nasty legislation in schools that only got repealed 10 years ago.
You have shops that still sell PS1 games!? I'm jealous.
The bit about the fax machine made me laugh. We actually have a functioning fax machine in our office, but we only seem to get adverts from tax collectors through it nowadays.
How big is this thing compared to an actual PS1?
I just bought a bunch of the mini Visorak off eBay on a whim. They're pretty cool!
I'm guessing Lego won't be doing stuff like that as the Ideas sets seem to be designed to stand alone rather than being part of a larger range. But! They have made quite a few dinosaurs in the past, including this bad boy, so maybe you could make up something of a Jurassic Park scenario. Or just buy a bunch of Lego…
I guess you can't buy the kits and minifigures separately because most people will want a kit with everything you need out of the box. Who wants to be scrabbling around looking for minifigures? If one sells out over the other one, it could get pretty irritating, especially as things like the Collectible Minifigure…
I never really understood how gender was supposed to work in the Bionicle universe. I mean, if we assume they're a type of robot (or mechanical life form) they don't exactly have the dangly parts…so is it an issue of gender over sex? Something one identifies as? There's nothing to physically distinguish the males from…
Are you in the UK or US? Because in the former they aren't exactly sold out: you've just got to wait a while for them to ship. I actually bought one when they were marked as temporarily out of stock and it's apparently been shipped, too.
I don't really have an issue with the whole cinched waist thing, but the idea that you can't gender a minifigure without it is… I mean, we now have female astronauts and firefighters that don't feel the need to make concessions to femininity with separate torsos. Admittedly they're quite specialised clothes, but…
Maybe it's because it's a faculty I only seem to possess half the time, but the phrase 'common sense' is one of those things that just rustles my jimmies whenever I hear it. Common to who? And on what basis?
The funny thing is I really had a problem with it in Tomb Raider, but not in Resident Evil.
Really? I tried using the analogue stick with RE2 and far preferred it. Games like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider and Silent Hill (their early iterations, at least) all work great on Vita because of the bitchin' D-pad.
Yeah, my comments were admittedly more in regards to the first game in the series: analogue control makes a world of difference.
The hardware requirements and incessant nickel-and-diming of modern Sims releases means I just end up reinstalling the original Sims game when I need that particular itch scratching.
Yeah, I'm in the UK and have a DVD of it! No translation, though: just subtitles. I should probably watch it.
