I just rewatched IW again, and as with the first viewing, I didn’t notice it was longer than usual.

Xavier and Magneto met at the hospital where Xavier was tending to Gabrielle. This was before Magneto was full-on “evil” and both were closeted about their powers. When they realiezed they were both mutants they kinda bro’d out for a while.

That and the hit to the economy. The Influenza Pandemic of 1918 (ish) killed something like 3% of the population but dinged the economy 10%. I’m not certain of the latter, but stats on the former are pretty terrifying.
