At Monza, during 2007 qualifying, Kimi Raikkonen hit a super thick tire wall at what many said must have been 180+mph at impact. His brakes failed on what used to be a 200+mph section before the Ascari chicane. So, he went from 180+ to zero in 8 feet.
Is the straight-6 really on it's way out? I thought the V6 configuration was harder to balance, along the lines of defeating harmonic amplification (not the good kind). There's nothing I love more than the smooth roar of a powerful straight-6.

Absolutely. The arc of the roof is right over the head of the driver. Just...don't try and sit behind them. Also, very safe cars, as the driver is in the middle of the car.
