Same thing happened to me; it was a bad can of chick peas! But you know, even after getting sick, I wasn’t aware that it was specifically the hummus that made me sick and when my mom got back form work she had a bit of hummus herself... within 20 minutes we knew that it was the hummus that was bad. This reminds me of another cooking tip along the same lines- it’s always a good idea to let meat (especially steak) temper just a bit before starting to cook it instead of throwing it directly from the fridge to the pan.
