Sorry your heart is too cold and dead to appreciate the cuteness of kitties’ jelly bean toes.
Some of us don’t have much of a choice when it comes to the potatoes:
No, that joke is dark and excellent. It’s a slam on both of the awful dudes.
All I could think was “Well... she’s right though.”
Dude I laughed at the Mindy joke.
A solid rule of thumb for earthquake country: If you feel strong shaking, move to high ground. Don’t wait for an evacuation alert, don’t check NOAA’s tsunami advisories, just start booking it for the hills or the nearest tall, strong building you can use as a vertical refuge.
Tsunami are fast. The first waves can come…
I mean, he did start a conversation. Probably not the one he thought he had started though.
Sorry, Chief
I know it’s beside the point but I do kind of like that these people’s understanding of what bombs look like seems to begin and end with Roadrunner cartoons.
I find the unrelenting passage of time to be alarming as well so I’m going to have to side with the police on this one.
I think we benefit more from expanding our narrow definitions of mother and motherhood than we do from denying that label to women who wish to claim it for themselves.
It seems fairly clear that what she’s saying is, “there are other ways to express your maternal instincts than actually being a mother.” But as to the idea that she’s a mother, why not? I have an aunt who I call my “spiritual mother.” She taught me things and was there for me in ways my mother wasn’t. And I had a fine…
Does it really matter what she calls herself as long as the people who she’s calling herself a mother to are okay with it? Especially since we haven’t inquired into the specific relationships, and there may be someone in that group who has substituted their relationship with her for one with their family of origin.
I’m not seeing what’s so terrible about this, either. It’s not even that new of a concept. It’s not such an uncommon idea that a woman who doesn’t have biological children might take joy in raising nieces and nephews, or mentoring young people, or being a stepparent. For all the people who fret about family values,…
woman does thing, is happy. society burns.
Pundit? More like pundidn’t.
I prefer a pay-it-forward approach. I let my brother mooch off of my Netflix account and then I mooch off of my friend’s Hulu+ account. It’s the circle of life. A sad, sad life.
I thought my BFF had changed her Netflix password while we were fighting and it extended our fight by about six months.
I choose my significant others based on the streaming passwords they can provide me.
