My last relationship ended because my partner couldn’t do any of these things - and they’re important to me. But I never doubted that he loved me, just that he had a lot of issues with intimacy and was overall pretty immature. And it ultimately wasn’t enough for me. But it’s so much more complex than “he’s taking

I dunno, I just don’t think things are so black-and-white. People do all kinds of selfish and lazy things - even when people tell them that it’s hurtful - because they’re selfish and lazy. Not because they don’t care about people.

I’m saying that some people never do this stuff. Plenty of people are just lazy. They don’t buy baseball tickets for their friends. They don’t send flowers to their moms. They don’t offer to pick up coffee for their busy coworker. It’s shitty and will have bad consequences for the relationship - but that doesn’t mean

Brutal, dude. You think maybe you’re projecting a little?

Prisons will take unwritten-in paperbacks and often rely heavily on donations.

It’s not my taste either, but they’re not hacks. They’re decent musicians who write their own songs. I don’t use my own preferences as a measure of whether or not someone is talented.

I think the force of this criticism ought to be directed towards clothing retailers who are selling

He really didn’t move on. Not in any kind of healthy or sustainable way. Don’t try to force yourself to rush this, it can’t be done.

Have a friend stop by with a milkshake halfway through!

Typically, civil rights lawyers sue government agencies so there would be a conflict of interest to fund their work via taxation.

I’m not crying, I’m balancing my humours!

Well, yes. But civil rights law is its own practice area and those lawyers aren’t getting rich. Staff attorneys at some of the biggest civil rights legal service agencies in the country start at about $40-50k and max out well below $100k.

She got half the black in the divorce?

Depends on the state you live in. Some states have laws that allow the police to ask you for identification even if they don’t suspect you of anything.

I’m a civil rights attorney and you can be 100% sure that I teach my kids how to refuse police searches!

Who are these “wealthy civil rights attorneys”? It’s not exactly a lucrative field - even when you win.

That cardigan really is awful.

I don’t know this lady’s story but I can tell you that some of my tattoos are not easily visible to me (the ones on my back) but they’re also not there for other people. My view is that life scars you in a lot of ways (good and bad) and once in a while, you get to choose what those scars look like.
