Coca Light most definitely not Diet Coke's nom de Europe. Coca Light is like those two average-looking folks who have the most adorable babies you have ever seen. It's a regular Coke engineered to be less cloyingly sweet but still devoid of all chemical undercurrents and aftertastes. Also, no calories (but I

One of the vocabulary words for my kindergarteners is "junk." As in "I cleaned the junk out of the yard." As part of the lesson, I always ask if anyone already knows this word or if they think that they have an idea about what it means. And my dearest of the dear immediately raised her hand to tell us all that "My

He doesn't need one. At death, separate property (everything before the marriage) becomes hers unless otherwise provided for in his will. As I'm sure it is. Community property laws only apply to those assets acquired during the marriage and I doubt that he's planning on finally making it big in his last years.

Replying to promote.

That's not explicitly the question but really, that's what's at issue. Walmart argues that there is no way that every class member has the same claims and therefore it would be unjust to combine the cases into a single action. Implicitly, their argument is that even if some women were discriminated against, that

I don't think it's clear from this post but the Supreme Court isn't hearing the actual discrimination claims. It's only determining whether the class as defined is proper. The question for the Supreme Court is about the proper formulation of a class action in a suit like this one against a nationwide business, not

OKCupid just matched me with my ex-boyfriend. We broke up almost five years ago but we still live in the same city - and are apparently still a 92% match. I slammed my computer shut so fast like he could see me, I might have to take an OKC break for a while.

"She only did the footwork?" I haven't seen the movie so call me a backseat sassy but I'm pretty sure that "the footwork" is damn important.

There's a great book called "Fist, Stick, Knife, Gun" by Geoffrey Canada; he calls it a 'personal history of violence.' I think that it does an excellent job of explaining this to people who have never lived with it.

In 2009, South Dakota eliminated the waiting period to purchase a handgun.

I generally hate smelly things but Target has a tomato blossom scented candle. I should have bought two.

I was one of those scandalous good-time girls but luckily, I don't have a teenage daughter - only a son. And I refuse to argue with him about his clothes. Don't get me wrong, I love clothes. I love fashion and and after 20 years of experimenting, I've finally come to the point where I've got pretty sharp style -

Tonight, I was looking for the super moon but all I saw was Uranus.

I think you misunderstand the reason that "female" is a poor choice of adjective. The problem is that "female" doesn't denote "human." Dogs and fish and plants are described as "females." While some may dislike "girls" or "ladies" or "women" - at least those are words that always describe human beings.

This is quite simple. Hold the door open. Hold it for someone walking with you. Hold it for the person behind you. Don't just hold the door, but get up and open it for the person pushing a stroller or walking with a cane or using a wheelchair. And when someone holds the door for you, say thank you.

Sure, don't make kids get braces. I don't really think that we should make kids get breast augmentations either. But what if a kid wants braces? What if adults want them? Very few people would be so disdainful - calling them cavalier about their bodies and their health. It would be great if we were all so happy

Similar to getting braces, no? I don't dispute that some procedures are more invasive than the other but they're all medically unnecessary trauma to the body.

I agree. I'm actually quite impressed with his singing (what can I say, the bar was low).

I am suffering such severe cognitive dissonance with Marius Jonas; it really is distracting.

I'm not a big fan of musicals but I can't understand someone who isn't moved by this show. The story? The music? The performances? Even my icy heart turns to mush.
