It looks like something a toddler would draw on you if you let them play with your makeup and were too exhausted to care, you just wanted to rest for a few minutes.

Finally! A makeup look that matches my actual skill!

I approve of this “I fell asleep in the frat house after the kegger” look they’re got going here.

I am no expert, but TV shows told me that heart attack vomit is strange, abnormal looking compared to regular vomit. I forget the description, but basically if it doesn’t look like your lunch, check in with someone.

Because women shouldn’t be working.

Oh god, seat belts.  My big ol’ boobs frequently send my seatbelt sliding upwards...right across my throat.

You can read my comment upthread (downthread?), about my mother not being diagnosed with angina/infarction.

This part got me.  Some women have such bad cramps that they miss work.  Then we get looked down upon because we miss work because of cramps.  Because they’re just cramps, no big deal.  How is that not a health priority?

They aren't experimental, they have been tested, on men. Although most women are smaller, weigh less, have thinner skin, more body fat, and different hormones and immune systems.

I’m a PhD candidate who’s been banging this drum in an empty room since college and that heart attack study for women’s symptoms came out. I want to make advocating for abolishing this bias in science in terms of gender/race/sexuality, etc. a huge part of my lifelong career, and I’m excited that more and more info

Modern-day radium girls...

I read a really interesting article about this as it relates to photography a few years ago. All the “test faces” for Kodak film were white women, which meant that calibration for darker skin not only didn’t happen, it wasn’t even considered. I take passport photos as part of my job, and it’s noticeable still that

Nail tech = person (usually woman) who works at a nail salon. Spends entire day in poorly ventilated workplace inhaling acrylates and other fun chemical crap that hasn’t been tested (or has only been tested on men). They’re canaries because we’ll only find out how toxic that stuff is when the nail techs start dropping

To the point of testing bias, you can see it all over our culture. I think that we were all taught as children (not necessarily explicitly, but by what popular culture would show us) is that the default idea of “human” should be a heterosexual white male. If it works for them, it will work for everyone!

Start having your own babies, dipshit

remarking that cramps were not a public health priority.

“smart speakers that are designed to hear men’s voices, forcing women to lower their pitch in order to be understood, women apparently can’t even catch a break with robots.”

I’m now going to rage scream into my pillow, so I don’t go on a murderous rampage.

Not surprising (wasn’t a lot of safety/efficacy testing done on white Midwestern college bros back in the day and never retested for a more diverse population?).

Ooh ooh I’ve got one. We have an oven which is above our fridge. I am 5'7” and I can just about reach into it but still frequently burn my arm on the edge of it because I have to step on tiptoes. Forget lifting heavy pots out of it. Due to male-oriented design I struggle to do a task frequently used as a comeback to
