There was a hint of admiration in the tone, n’est pas?

I’d take ‘human tornado’ as a compliment, personally.
Sounds like more than enough reasons to stay home on St. Patrick’s Day, arguably the king of all the holidays that invite people who can’t hold their liquor to go on a bender...
“...I was working at a bar and grill called Duke’s, which was right next to the Weiner Circle in Lincoln Park.”
Articles like this one remove all doubt for me that I have become An Old. Mostly, I don’t get the allure of heading out on St. Patrick’s Day (or Cinco de Mayo, or NYE). You head out to a bar, pay a fortune for what are almost always shitty drinks, spend hours in a crush of drunk people whose goal mostly seems to be to…
“One year there was a man who kept screaming every time he took a shot, got into a fight with his girlfriend, made her cry, then got into a screaming match with his bros, then reached behind our bar and stole one of our water pitchers and started drinking directly out of it, all in the span of like 20 minutes. He was…
that last line was really funny good job
I had a customer last month whose name my boss heard as Zachary, and wrote down as such. I boot up his computer to diagnose it, and what name do I see on the login screen?
So, uh, what are the “ridiculous reasons”? I agree this is a hugely important issue, but also the headline writes a check that the article’s body does not cash.
Have a gander at what’s happening in Ottawa right now and get back to me on that.
I mean, I’ll gladly welcome ya with some Timmies and a trip to the legion but....I am not too fond of my country during COVID. A lot of crazies have come out of the woodwork and the Conservative party is quite literally a bunch of MAGA…
As I said, he wasn’t the bad guy for the initial theft. He was the bad guy for publicizing a video that had 2 people in it, including one innocent party who wasn’t at fault for not paying him.
Crosby, Nash & Stills? Is Earth, Fire & Wind next to go?
other countries don’t do this and they’re in better shape in every possible way than the USA is. all the drug testing in the world isn’t going to help what’s broken down there.
You’ll also note that workplace testing is typically geared toward middle-and lower-level employees. Upper management and C-suites aren’t exactly peeing in cups on the regular (because, duh, of course they’d probably piss hot). Furthermore, most of the “expensive” drugs have a very short half-life, so employers are…
It’s nuts though. I mean, plenty of other governments don’t drug test their employees and those countires have yet to collapse as a result, you know what I mean?
In my case it is a Federal requirement to hold a security clearance. A lot of rules stem from isolated incidents but then get held against the rest of society.
And where is the comparable automatic testing of every male who arrives with that female? His drug use would be just about as dangerous for the children as hers.
Donating an organ is 0% similar to having a child.
Why would you test everyone though? Someone could be a horrible mother, abusive, or a violent alcoholic but their drug tests will come back clean if they haven’t had a drink in the past day and that’s just fine because it’s not drugs? But you just HAVE to drug test to make sure no drug addicts are out there keeping…
But none of that explains why she was even tested in the first place?
