I think you’re missing the point. You seem to be under the impression that protest is intended to target the specific offenders of whatever the protest is against. These people aren’t protesting to get this murdering cop to stop murdering people. They aren’t coming in there and telling him to stop shooting people…

Because Wikipedia’s servers have to be be able to handle that many requests hitting them. They already run on donations as it is while Google has fucking millions at their disposal. It’s fucked up they’re offloading the problem so someone else has to sink money into it.
