Jesus fuck.

While we’ve been distracted by Trump’s insane ramblings, the Republicans in congress have been quietly staging a coup- Passing small procedural changes that allow them to do things like lower any government employee’s salary to a dollar a year, and sell of public property without oversight.

That’s the fucked up thing about IP law.

I really want to see Hugh Laurie have a conversation with James Marsters.

I’ve said this before, and I guess I’m just going to have to keep repeating it.

Once it’s cancelled after the first season, it will probably go to Amazon for $3 an episode.

Meanwhile, the Netflix shows are knocking it out of the park. Kingpin is literally one of the best and most compelling villains I’ve seen anywhere, and Killgrave was utterly terrifying. I’ll confess I was a bit disappointed with Diamondback, but Cottonmouth was fantastic.

I am legitimately scared for her.

I think it’s probably reasonable to assume the *first cut* of the film isn’t good. There’s still time for DC to make it much worse fix it before it’s released.

Wow. That really was some kind of mix.

Sorry- Yes. They don’t need to defend copyrights, they need to defend trademarks. I know that- I neglected to proofread before I posted.

In a perfect world, Paramount/CBS would *license* the property to fan productions- A flat fee, say based off the total production cost, and the stipulation that a boilerplate text must show during the opening/closing credits (like the FBI piracy warning) which identifies it as a non-cannon, authorized fan production.
