The way I see it, it's about getting what you pay for.
A bunch of small ones, but one that really stands out.
The problem is that it's not a matter of "my bigotry is just as valid as your opinion that people should be treated equally", but that there is hard, documented proof that these people hold their anti-gay sentiments as a religious belief. That makes it protected by law, every bit as much as race or gender.
This is one of the things I warned would happen when the gay couple sued that other bakery. Personally, I think the state should very clearly draw the line at whether a business exists as a separate entity.
Believe it or not, but there's a technical reason it's happening now.

I've noticed a sort of a trend with that sort of thing. In my own community, there was a guy- He ended up getting arrested for kiddie porn, and almost immediately everybody had a story to tell about how he creeped them out or said something inappropriate or hit on them or something.
