I would pay a large percentage of my meager disposable income to see a Damnation Alley remake.
I know it's a day late and a dollar short, but Kim Harrison JUST did an AMA on Reddit earlier today: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comment…
In my mid-20s I worked for Spencer Gifts. We had this young punk chick there who was around 16 and listened to the Misfits, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys- All the stuff I grew up with.
My band features banjo and fiddle.
My mistake: You can trademark a name/title for a series, but not for an individual work. Good catch.
Personally, I really liked the show. The last couple seasons weren't as good as the first, but I don't see why they get as much hate as they do.
The entire series felt absolutely true to a comic book feel, and I think there's a good lesson to be learned about what comic book ideas will and will not work on screen.
Titles can't be copyrighted or trademarked. You could publish a novel titled "Moby Dick" or "The Shining" if you wanted to, as long as the story wasn't directly plagiarized.
Never heard of the comic until io9 started posting stuff about the movie.
"But most people do not remember or were never taught the fact that after Noah's off the ark, there is a moment in the story where he is drunk,"
Let's assume GM crops are perfectly safe for human consumption- Personally, I don't trust them, but let's just assume I'm in the wrong on that point.
And yet, I would still rather sit through back to back screenings of it, in German, without subtitles, synched to the complete works of Jandek...
Bravo.
DVD NEEDS WARNING LABEL.
I actually think it's a pretty good film that is let down by having a twist, it works better on a second viewing when you know the whole backstory from the beginning.
I would absolutely love these at $5 each.
I'm not getting cable again until this reality-TV fetish is over. The what? Three? Remaining scripted shows on the air just aren't worth $90 a month.
it is not The means of recovery, merely A means of recovery, and one which is to be discarded if it doesn't work for the individual, because recovery is more important than dogma.
