I think it’s harder to scare kids and teenagers these days because we have hugely popular jump-scare video games like Slenderman and Five Nights at Freddy’s that get their attention much more easily. Books just don’t stack up because of the lack of visual flair.
“Or you can get $10 store credit!”
I know, right? I just hope the eBay sellers don’t upscale too.
“Used NES? That’ll be $180.”
All this does is reinforce my depression.
Sadly, it doesn’t seem like too many retailers follow this.
Yeah it looks passable, but take a closer look and you’ll find that his forehead is the same size as his face! It looks really disturbing.
In other news Bayonetta looks like Devil May Cry because they both have health bars and they both have a scoring system.
Sorry, but this article is kind of pointless. You might as well save time and say that all MMO’s look like World of Warcraft if noting similarities was your goal.
At any rate, I only care about two…
Haha, yeah. In hindsight I kind of put my fingers to the keyboard before the rational thoughts formed.
The thing about ‘ethics’ that bothers me is that for years we’ve had big popular games like Call of Duty and whatever Triple A game of the month take up ad space on the front page of a gaming website that’ll give that game a high score, and nobody said anything about it. It wasn’t until a woman may have slept with a…
I would actually be surprised if it ended up having at least two-player split screen.
It’s a glitch? You seemed convinced the other day that From was deliberately sticking it to people who wanted to play at 60fps.
In hindsight, I should’ve toned it down a bit. I mean they might be saving stuff for E3, so who knows. I just figure that if a game is coming out this year, we would finally see something looking like a product.
Or, as you say, it’s just not ready. *shrugs*
You’re going to have to be specific on what those last bits are, because the camera work is based on showing action, as evidenced by seeing the front of Boba Fett and the Millennium Falcon, rather than a camera that would be beneficial to someone playing a game.
This is worth talking about! It reminds me of when I went to buy Assassin’s Creed 3 and there were multiple ‘editions’ like, “Target Edition” and “Wal-Mart Edition” with the retailer’s logo plastered on the actual boxart. I guess in this instance EA is really trying to set the Battlefront ‘identity’ with them. Kind of…
Here’s what gameplay is to me; it is somebody playing a game. Footage of the game being played by a person.
I’m not making a comment about graphics, I’m making a comment about seeing a real game as opposed to a pre-rendered trailer.
I don’t know why I was expecting gameplay footage...
“Game engine footage” doesn’t count.
Get ready for the “Only 40 players?!” people.
Have PR people ever been used as a scapegoat for a game’s bad press or criticism?
