Late one night when playing Dragon’s Dogma for the first time, bleary eyed and not fully sober, I was making my way to Gran Soren for the first time. Night had come, wolves were scratching around in the dark, and I had no idea how much farther I had to go. We made it out of that pass to where it flattens out and I

The NRA thanks you for your loyal service.

I have a hard time understanding how that translates to action.

Also, as you would say, “new gen?” Does Generation not good enough?

Does Judgemental not good enough?

Well, we just disagree then that popular entertainment is by definition not artistic. There is no artistry in the costumes or art design? The music? Personally, I’d say that a script that directly discusses race in America (and the world) while being a kick-ass action movie is also showing a lot of art on a writing

I mean that is the nature of a big Hollywood blockbuster. I think that “social relevance” is based on the creators, audience, and reception, and not necessarily on the film itself. As I said to someone else, there is something tangibly different (and important) about a mega-blockbuster being about, by and for black

I don’t think I was making the case that we should choose them based on how enjoyable they are, since that is as subjective as the word “best.”

No, I wouldn’t say it’s more socially relevant than those. But I would say it’s more socially relevant than at least half of these from last year:

That would be a more convincing argument if I hadn’t seen half of the movies that got nominated for Best Picture over the years.

You get the Rock on board and I’ll watch him hand out Plumber of the Year awards.

This is just me bitching into the void here, so apologies, but this is the first game I’ve pre-ordered in years and fucking Best Buy is getting it to me on the Monday. I don’t know of a better argument against pre-ordering than the fact that I’ll get it well after I could have if I just went to the fucking store.

Side note: I love that the makers of The Frankenstein Chronicles understood they were making a secret Sharpe sequel.

“Imagine letting your country burn to the ground to own the libs.”

Estimating volume is essentially my only life skill.

Oh come on, I remember what a screw up I was at twelve years old too!

And done better. Good luck out there, apparently not mocking someone to their face in the comment sections is the worst thing a human being can do.

I mean, I get it, it’s a sitcom, I don’t expect a sitcom to create three-dimensional characters.

Have you seen Funny People? It’s so bizarre to watch Adam Sandler in a movie that’s essentially about what a hollow life Adam Sandler lives, and then he just keeps chugging along?

What raised my eyebrow was Hunk’s family being found alive. Pidge’s family has survived, Lance’s sister lives (while getting to have a heroic sacrifice moment without actually sacrificing anything), Keith finds his mom, etc. It seems like all the main characters’ loved ones get through relatively unscathed.
