The bank robbery fixation is pretty bad deflecting. Obviously she is not a bank robber. The point is that she could experience identical violence (getting thrown about, running from pursuers, etc.) without that violence being sexualized.

I disagree. Madison’s situations are sexualized in a way that the men’s violent scenes aren’t.

I think that the problem goes beyond foreshadowing the twist though. It’s been a few years, but I seem to recall some of his thoughts that float around explicitly contradict the idea that he’s the killer. Like I said, it’s been awhile so I can’t quote specifics, but I recall that standing out to me at the time.
