Really like the lines of the late air cooled turbos.

I'm gonna call Caterham, the QPRs; and Bahar-Lotus, the Lifestyle Dickheads. This works, no?
A time honored tradition. Here's a 250LM (chassis 5149) on fire at Sebring. I believe this was either the 250LM's first race or this was the first 250LM produced, but I recall there being a "first" somewhere in this fire.
It got very dusty in my house right when they podium'd at Le Mans — strange coincidence, that. Hooray for the Robertsons!
*grins* Yeah, I dug mine, but kept it stock in terms of performance. (I did have both headlight and rear window louvers!). I had analog gauges, but also had the voice — I called her "Missy". As in the following exchanges:
I had a lot of fun in my '85 300ZX. Turbo pictured, but mine was NA. Very light in the rear and would swing around on you pretty easily, especially in the wet (no need to wait for snow). Power wasn't fantastic, but sufficient to learn on and have fun.
How cool is it that I grew up listening to Peter Sellers sing about whiskey and ciggies and it was okay ... because Muppets!
Way, way, way, wait a minute! You (a) drove the SportQ (b) on that dude's private track?! That's a fine, fine day, sir.
Big girls need love too.
8 y.o., huh? I was a bit of an old soul as well, altho you've got me beat by a few years there.
I'm surprised by this, but then again, I'm not. Follow the money makes me not confused.
Teammate to my avatar's #20 and the car "I" finished LeMans in! Now, "I" didn't win, but "I" did beat Stahler.
No worries; just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. I do think there's merit to both positions. I mean, heck, I'm never going to get to drive the 787B, am I? That said, I try to be as active as I can interacting with things in 3 dimensions, instead of just 2 and I try to encourage others to join me in my…
As Zendax and PeteRR said, the one in the article is a 289, not a 427 that the vast majority of the replicas are based on. The frowny mouth of the 289 was replaced by the rounded mouth of 427 in 1965. Exaggerating the differences is it looks (to me) like you found a pic of a Backdraft Racing (BDR), which, while…
Not sure how old your post is, as I haven't been logged in for awhile, but wanted to respond since I just got the notification. I disagree with many of your conclusions regarding my intent and position. You have misunderstood my posts or it's possible you are trolling me. Assuming you're not a troll, I respond below.
Sorry Irishzombieman, I didn't see you posted the same suggestion. Great minds...
Ray, I don't have an xbox, so this is purely an altruistic suggestion for those of my fellow Jalops who are so appointed: Instead of using them for coasters, why don't you ask if you can give them away as contest prizes?
1.) Put sandbags in driver's seat.
I want to second Shane Elliot's nom, but with more specificity: CSX 2345. This car won 4 FIA GT3 races 2 in '64 and two in '65. I believe Bondo set the quali record at the 'ring for the GT3 class in '65 as well in this car, but that might have been a different ride.
I don't think you mean that. Otherwise, you might want to check on your jalopness. You may have enough money to be driven, but surely you'd take GTO instead, because, you know, you always take the GTO on Tuesday.
