Main question is: was the cancellation due to lack of sales?

People think Integra, they think Type R. They forget that it always was essentially a fancy Civic.
I think the big key here is this: do not be afraid to stall.
I agree about the V8, I have a suspicion that Cadillac deliberately avoided the v8 as a point of differentiation. A few years back I attended a CTS-V/ATS-V track event in Austin, and the engineers were pretty sensitive about the engine choice. I regret not asking them how the v8 being available informed the…
Turbo is hardly cutting edge, it seems like more turbo motors are sold now than otherwise. Plus this motor has been boosted for a while. I think the ATS-V had good reliability.
Regarding the take-rate discussion, this I feel doesn’t really work in the US. Based on the fact that customers don’t order cars, dealers do.…
I don’t know why they even bother with the existing dealers. Granted I’m in a large city but Lexus, Infiniti, and Acura are all freestanding dealerships. If I wanted to pay luxury car prices for vehicles, and service, I don’t think I would go to a luxury dealer attached to a mainstream one. In that case it’s more akin…
I really do disagree. I bought my ‘93 Probe GT 5-spd in ‘97 and because my father was a terrible teacher the salesman basically taught me in the lot and off I went. I recall being terrified of shifting into 5th for some reason, but I pretty much got it in a few minutes. From there I’ve taught a few people to drive…
you’re missing the point. $3k financed at 2.73 is $54/mo for 60 $87 for 36, or $254 for 12. 4.1% adds $1/2/2 per month. Even at 10% it’s adding $12/10/10 a month.
Very much disagree. At least on that rendering, the front vent is a straight line that doesn’t flow with the wheel, same with the cut line heading up on the rear wheel. Also the nose coming across as longer makes the lines on the front appear either stunted or overlong.
This is Subaru. It took them 15 years to add 5hp to the STI, and another 5 or add 36 more.
Here’s how I look at it: the endgame stuff is about cooperative/competitive social interaction.
Spot on, I was going to say the same thing. Even in the last 20 years they’ve taken tons of risks. Pontiac GTO, Pontiac G8, Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, Chevy SS, Almost any V series.
Also the fact that unlike Ford, they’re sticking with making cars.
Even look back to the creation of Saturn as a brand was a risk.
COTA is also right next to the airport, as such any enhancements for traffic benefit the airport, and in terms of sound it’s a drop in the river.
Which makes me wonder if that’s the best route for any new track in a metro area: drop it next to something that will drown out all the noise already.
I saw all your issues and picked a random one to reply to. I had a similar situation and the back seat is what turned me off the Mustang. Previously I had a GTO and somehow it could fit a rear facing child seat (the kind you detatch) into the back seat without intruding much on the front passenger, no clue how the…
They’ve been talking about going premium for a while, because compared to their contemporaries they are and have been. Compare the interior of a Mazda to a contemporary Honda/Nissan/Chevy/Ford and it’s going to be nicer. They’re nicer cars than most non-premium brands, drive nicely, but aren’t special.
Tesla open sourced their charging patents. Anyone can use them for free.
What’s not innovative about an everyday driveable mid engine performance car at a reasonable price?
When turbo boost happen.
The C7 had a 7spd, other Porsches have as well. In the Porsche case I believe it was the same transmission as the PDK, except with the lever and pedal (maybe other stuff too).
What you’re saying and those that say it’s a not good as a movie relate to the explicit difficulties in making a good sports movie.
Sports/racing/competition contains drama on their own, layering in additional drama usually results in overly simplistic characters and melodrama. What makes these kinds of movies last is…
