Yep, I get the whole punching up, punching down thing, but, and there always is one isn’t there, a line does have to be drawn. I mean, heck, white people are soon going to be a minority in the US anyway so how about we stamp down on racism now instead of waiting a couple of years.
Let’s be fair here, you can call it

Just so you know, Impallaria has been convicted:

They’re going to need a bigger stroller...

My Dad and I had tickets to the Lions’ 1992 Divisional Playoff game vs. Dallas. My mother went into labor early about 3 hours before kickoff and we missed the Lions only playoff victory in both my lifetime and my father’s.

I was 12 and my dad moved our family down to LA for a year for work. My dad got two baseball tickets and asked if I wanted to go. When I saw that the tickets were in the last row of the upper deck, I whined about it. He took my mom instead.

Me and my friend left the “Monday Night Miracle” (Jets-Dolphins, 2000) just before the end of the 3rd quarter. Score, Dolphins 30, Jets 7.

My biggest regret was agreeing to attend a NY Jets home game.

In 1988 I was a freshman at Notre Dame. The October 15 matchup with Jimmy Johnson’s Miami Hurricanes was hyped beyond belief on campus and in the news media. Of course I was excited to be attending what may prove to be a historic game.

Yes, and it was designed by an ambitious young animator named John Lasseter.

This probably won’t ever get out of the gray, but I was in an *incredibly* liberal Harvard Law Criminal Adjudication class this spring which voted about 2-1 that Judge Aquilina’s pre-sentencing statement was out of line. We all obviously wanted to see Nassar go to jail for life, but man, that could’ve been achieved SO

From a legal standpoint, what the judge said was very much out of bounds, and due to that, Nassar does deserve a resentencing.  The next judge, if it happens, should not show any bias, and sentence Nassar to the same if not longer prison term.

Our constitution does not allow for cruel and unusual punishment. If it did, I have to say, I might allow what he did to all of these beautiful souls—these young women in their childhood—I would allow someone or many people to do to him what he did to others.

The prison system is a hellish nightmare and a stain on the nation. Nassar’s claims here may or may not be credible, but he can take a fucking number and get in line behind the millions of other prisoners and convicted people asking for criminal justice reform before I’ll bother to think about it.

This guy needs to burn in hell, but our court system should always take the high ground. We can all wish for him to be abused in the prison system, which is bad enough, but a judge should never say such a thing in court.

“In terms of rec sports where the whole point is to have fun”

Co-ed leagues are for finding a weekday reason to get shitfaced, not sports.

Counterpoint: Fuck the Patriots.

Malcolm Butler is the randomly most impactful player in NFL history. He changed the course of TWO Super Bowls and played a grand total of 1 important play.

I guess I’d move half wya around the world for $25M.

America has also lost five million manufacturing jobs since 2000. The Daily News layoffs affected 40 people yet seem to have spawned 400,000 Very Important Takes from every dip ship on Twitter who was dumb enough to get a print journalism degree (yours truly included).
