First is best. Especially the 745i. I just love that car...
When Nunez left R&T, I knew they would poach someone from Jalopnik. Good luck!
To me, unquestionably it was 1949, when Luigi Chinetti won in the Ferrari 166 driving the entire race alone save for the 20 minutes that team owner Lord Selson, who was sick (and a shitty driver), drove the car to comply with the rules. It was Ferrari’s first Le Mans win, and it not only proved Enzo’s cars were the…
The advertising easily makes up for the lost revenue.
The Audi R8C was the brother to the Audi R8R in Audi’s 1999 Le Mans campaign. They went with two designs to see which one would warrant further development, but the R8C was a Le Mans special, whereas the R8R was more suitable to race in other races. That meant the R8C got sidelined, although it was full of promise,…
The V10 Porsche LMP2000/9R3. It’s got the engine that ended up in the Carrera GT. It tested once, and Allan McNish who drove the 911 GT1 to victory said the car - in testing - was already incredible. Then they nixed it in favor of building the Cayenne....
Goddamn that is one beautiful car. There is just nothing else to say...
You guys know Ferrari doesn’t really bother to dress up their mules, right?
I can’t. I actually use the plural many times, too, as a way of deflecting responsibility I guess. Interesting. Another thing I used to do was point out flaws in the car so that it doesn’t seem as great as the people asking about it think it is. But then I realized that was going a bit too far and that it was nice to…
Hey DeMuro, question for ya:
Seriously, that MetroPCS shirt wearing girl was quite pretty. And interested in RHD geekmobiles. Pretty cool.
The 430 is like the 328. It’s better all around than its predecessor but people gripe about insignificant details making it cheaper, and more affordable for those of us who appreciate evolution.
Here in Brazil - also known as land of the flip-flop - it’s illegal to wear them while driving. There were PSA’s on TV about it. Barefoot OK, shoes OK, flip-flops a no-no. Dangerous, as they are loose and can get tangled with pedals etc.
Ayrton Senna’s drive in the wet in Estoril 86 was better than Monaco in the Toleman. A lot better.
Not true. He does drive the cars, even the old ones, although since he is still very involved with his business he doesn’t do it as often. There are pictures out there of him driving them...
The dude driving this car.
After owning the 355, it’s probably not that massive either.
I was going to say the V4 engine, that powered this little guy, but then Porsche spoiled the fun by putting one inside the 919.
So why would you buy a car that isn’t a BMW E9 coupe? What possible justification could you have?
