I dunno if things are any worse now, this whole article just reminded me of when we saw the exact same level of twitter hype after the first preview screenings of Batman V Superman. It’s totally meaningless until critics are actually allowed to review the damn thing. And we’re all stupid for reading the article at all.

If it were a different developer and there weren’t any rumors about troubled development I might’ve been excited about this title. My friend group and I played Sea of Thieves and loved it... for about a week. Raiding other players or doing just about anything started to lose its appeal because of the lack of

During my brief career as an occasional film critic for a medium-sized newspaper, I wrote that Pearl Harbor was sure to sweep the Oscars and was going to be the next Titanic at the box office. I also came away thinking Malibu’s Most Wanted wasn’t that bad. It’s got to be something they put in the soda at the

I believe there are usually open bars and really nice swag bags, so viewers are predisposed to be in a good mood.

If you’ve never seen the first one, you’re gonna see one of the greatest homoerotic big budget action movies of all time.

It’s one of the greatest cheesefests ever made. It’s so over the top, it uses Kenny Loggins “Danger Zone” three times. It’s so melodramatic, it uses Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” four times.

I can’t remember if they ever did one of these “Twitter loves this movie” articles.   These are always just BS hype goblins.

When you watch the first one start with absolutely no expectations, apart from the really wild visual style from Tony Scott which is by far the best thing about it. The guy was not really into subtleties, not into introducing heavy style changes gradually, but all in, and that was his gift.

The non-cynical part of me says it’s just a really fun experience - you get a free, surprise screening with no expectations and everyone’s jazzed about it. You’re in a good mood and it carries you through.

Guys, it’s been years of this now. Never. Trust. Reactions. From. Preview. Screenings.

For the most part, when a writer has 10 times the followers as the publications he allegedly writes and edits for, that’s a big red flag about how legit those publications are.

(Obviously, there are superstar exceptions, but Schneider ain’t one of them.)

The good thing about being a Gen Xer is my total student loan debt was $3500.

I don’t get it either—he has spent the last 10-20 years coasting on his reputation and not much else; before that he was a pretty attractive guy who had solid “acteur” bona fides before he decided to sell out (and I’m not judging him for that based on the shitloads of money he has made); but the EXTREME response I

And the thing is, what about Depp exactly inspires this level of idolatry? Even if you think that he is, or at least was, the best actor of a generation, why does that inspire people to slavishly devote themselves to clearing his good name? I actually liked the Pirates trilogy, and Depp in them, and honestly didn’t

My instinctive reaction to Here’s everything you need to know about the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial” was “nothing.” I don’t need to know a single thing about this shitshow.

I kind of gave up on figuring out what’s going on.

Speak for yourself. I’m happy ignoring both of them. You should try it.

If you look up the term “Pyrrhic Victory” in the dictionary, you’ll see Depp and Heard’s mugs.

It’s frustrating how this was clearly a toxic, mutually abusive relationship, but everyone is deciding to make only *one* party out to be history’s greatest monster.

That was SwSh for me. Sorry these are bouncing off you.
