Ahh. Ha, now I got it.
Ahh. Ha, now I got it.
Why?
I don't understand this argument. To me, it seems that cost is not related to amount of content, but what consumers are willing to pay. The Last of Us, a well received game, cost $60 at launch and contained less than 25 hours of content. Skyrim, another positively received game which also cost $60 at launch, contained…
I remember at the time that I was the only one of my friends who liked this game. Maybe I'm crazy, but I thought the melee combat was really funny and a great representation of the fighting style in the films. I always wanted a fighting style that felt that way again. Kind of sticky, everything part of a connected…
They say they didn't want 60. They say they want 30. Why can't you believe that? They give reasons. Different people have different priorities. These developers say they like the feel and look of 30 frames. It's quite clearly stated in the story above.
Was this directed at me intentionally? I'm not a woman and I wasn't telling any women what they are or aren't allowed to do.
As far as what sets women back, history, facts, evidence, statistics, and the thoughts and opinions of actual women HAVE decided much of what sets women back. To pretend we, as humans, don't…
Oh, my god. What are you talking about? This is not an issue of elitism, it is an issue of prejudice and disenfranchisement. "Ending the drug war". That's easy, right? How? Decriminalize all drugs? Or some? Which ones? If all, then what about the opposition's side of that? No complex problems have simple solutions. I…
I don't understand your point. Because it doesn't affect you, any discussion of the problem is whining? Why ever try to make anything better? How is it only an important problem if people are going to prison because of it? What if people are making unfair wages due, purely, to their gender? What if people are having…
The idea that people do bad things to other people in general does nothing to change that, in this case and many others, these things disproportionately affect women. Just like current drug laws, while not mentioning race anywhere, disproportionately harm racial minorities. This is why the problem is a feminist one.
Who does this hate-trolling benefit?
Who is it that's claiming to be your "equal"? What are you talking about? Do you mean women? Do you mean me? I'm unclear. In any case, the fact that you think of people as inferior to you in some way, and show a paranoia toward someone claiming to be your equal, shows me that you lack empathy.
Good. Then we agree. Only when consent is clearly given should any sexual/romantic/personal advance progress. A lack of non-consent is not consent, by definition. Same page.
There's no way to answer your questions without repeating myself and several others' statements from earlier in this thread. You don't want to change. Fine. Willful ignorance wins the day.
You lack compassion and empathy for other human beings. Stop acting like people who care about those who are "marginalized" are the problem. The problem is those that don't care. I'm sure ideals like yours have led to many becoming individually powerful and wealthy, but those same ideals have never benefited anyone…
Nope. Most men don't have to do something for a person to fear that thing. Someone earlier mentioned that people lock their doors despite not believing most people will attempt to enter. One protects one's self from what might happen, not what will happen. This is universally true.
Semi-off topic: Are you a gun-owner,…
Many websites and publications have published articles and studies on misogyny in rap music and culture. You can easily find them. Saying the problem exists elsewhere does nothing to change the fact that it exists here, in our back yard, as well. But not all of us are a part of the gangsta rap community, so it is…
Empathy can seem so foreign to so many people.
Don't tell me I don't give a fuck about consent.
This sounds like the way women were raised centuries ago, not in the 21st century.
It's so ironic because your opinions are like those of someone raised centuries ago, not those of the people you are fighting with.
Then, as she suggested, look them up.
