I definitely don't see how they wouldn't overtake PS2. The Switch has never gotten an MSRP price cut. Whenever that happens, it'll definitely give it a pick me up.

The Switch just sold 18 million. Nintendo has no reason to release their next gen system.

Nintendo still sold 17.97 million units, which is roughly in line with its own forecast of 18 million units for the fiscal year. 18 million in a year is nothing to sneeze at. Lol

I pretty much don’t even consider buying non-Nintendo games on Switch, even though I’d love to buy compilations that aren’t graphically demanding. It’s sad because games like that, in my opinion, are the definitive version, since it has the portability factor.

Editing is a dead art? How do you know the movie has fluff that should be cut out? People always complain about studios interfering with the artistic vision of movies...until it’s an inconvenience (the movie is too long).

You think Microsoft would keep something unprofitable running forever? 

Wii U had better games? Not sure how, when the Switch has a majority of them (definitely not the entire library as you mentioned) and then Switch exclusives on top of that.
