I’m a veteran and I’m still trying to figure out why a protest over police brutality has anything to do with me. Yeah, it’s great when people respect the symbols of our country, but I’m not gonna get all riled up over a protest that has specific target.

They could’ve avoided the Browns if they’d had bone spurs in their feet.

Yeah dude, these goddamn kids need to have respect for the troops and conscription like our Commander in Chief.

I’m not a big NFL fan or anything, but IMHO, anyone who is old enough to have dodged the draft and can still be competitive at professional sports deserves at least some kind of respect.

There is no “Draft” to dodge. Except the NFL Draft. And these fools got drafted by the Browns. The BROWNS. It’s like the Afghanistan of NFL teams.

Former military officer here... I hate the stupid anthem/flag waiving/We support the troops idiocy. It’s the lowest, easiest, and most obnoxious form of “patriotism”. Standing for 2 minutes before a sporting event doesn’t make you a patriot or ‘Murican. Trying to get real justice and equality for all this country’s

...as an organization we have profound respect for our country’s National Anthem, flag, and the servicemen and servicewomen...

Not to break the poignancy of the moment, but...it’s not like they’ve given you a lot of options.....

If the Browns start feeling the pressure, they can just release DeValve

I am a white male and a Marine Corps combat veteran. I have been a Browns fan all my life.

To keep you talking about it and eventually, you will hear something or see something that finally strikes a chord and changes how you personally approach these issues. It took the loss of Heather Heyer’s life to do it for her mother. It took listening to their teammates and trying to understand for these white

are we 100% they weren’t protesting being stuck on the browns?

say it to my face

I was sitting down when they played that anthem too.

Genocide seems counterproductive here, no?

I hope he used up the minute they couldn’t spare to the very last second.

Because he has the bone density of a four-year-old.

Duh, it’s Europe. It’s probably a METRIC under 23 match.

I don’t like soccer because I think it’s boring, but that’s a legitimate shove right in front of the ref, while the guy is moving backwards. I’ve seen much fishier flops in other soccer highlights, and this doesn’t even make the top 30 in your average Duke season.

Unlike those strong players in the NBA who never flop or fall down or fake injuries.... At least these guys play a sport that requires extended periods of running and jumping with limited to no stopages.
