I’m of the mindset that a hot dog both is and is not a sandwich. It is Schrodinger’s lunch.

NBC wants me to turn off adblocker to see two guys get their balls near each other? What is this 1990's cable?

If tacos and hot dogs are sandwiches, then so are folded slices of pizza. Is that the America you want to live in?

This chart is excellent.

This makes no sense.

I know football will never be transparent enough to do this, but can we also include agent fees, player transfer fees, sign-on fees as part of the total transfer fee that we report?

I blame the government. Who expects old white people in Florida to comprehend intersectionality?

My pale European blend of paleness wife and I, a Sri Lankan guy, are thrilled every time we see an interracial couple in the media. Doesn’t matter if it’s a Cheerios commercial or an episode of Happy Endings or Sense8 or Firefly, it’s good to see some kind of reflection of us, even if it’s not a perfect reflection.

One thing that I think needs to end right now is the assumption that anyone who wants to date someone with a different skin color is automatically “exotifying” them. Yes, there are some people who are like that. However, there are a HUGE fucking number of people that are not. And here’s the swoop for the kill on

Okay you guys can’t have it both ways. You can’t get frustrated that hollywood does’t show enough biracial relationships then get mad when too many show the characters dating white characters. Biracial relationships don’t exclusively include POC only being with other POC.

Do we want to see less interracial relationships, or do we want to see more? Do we want to see more of brown women with white men and black men and black women with brown men and white men? Let’s go for more of that, not less of this.

This piece is incredibly ironic. I’m an old, so I remember the ‘80s, when a huge issue was that no brown man could EVER be with a white woman. It was terribly sexist and racist, based on the theory that white women were irrevocably tainted by being with a non-white man, but white men could freely be with a brown

I agree but isn’t this particular movie a true story? I don’t think it belongs quite in the same category because it was Kumail’s real life experience with his current partner and not a fictional creation. Thoughts?

I think I saw this same headline at Stormfront.

I appear in court for a non-profit at least once a month. I wear sleeves and closed toe shoes. It’s just what’s considered appropriate for the environment (and part of our training). Actually I usually wear black leggings, a linen tunic and ballet flats so it’s not like I’m all suited up and wearing panty hose — it’s

There are a lot of commenters in the greys noting that men have to wear suits and ties in these environments, which I think is a relevant comparison, especially if we’re planning to use “it’s so hot in DC” as a rationale.

Praise be motherfuckers.
