I also recommend the site GetRichSlowly.org (which has been linked on LH sometimes). It's how I've been learning about IRAs and such, and is a great resource for money management.

I agree, coffee smell is good while the taste itself is eh. Though I have noticed with some of the stronger-smelling ones, it doesn't seem too far off from a skunk smell to me. (The "must be a skunk that got hit by a car a few blocks away" smell, not the "oh crap a skun- ARGH!" smell.)
It does for the most part, but I haven't had any display pictures appear using it (nor can others see mine). Had this problem with Pidgin, aMSN and InstantBird, so now I'm on to MirandaIM. While it actually does show the pictures, it looks like it needs some tweaking to send/receive font settings, and I keep…
No, I suppose not. But finding another third party client that actually works has proved to be difficult.
One of those apps is MS's own MSN 2011. It installs extra crap and bloat, randomly pops up a notice automatically agreeing that you'll download more stuff (just hit okay!), and has ads on every window you open. Sounds like malware to me. /rant
I'd suggest looking at the post at [www.head-fi.org] on Head-Fi. One of the things they rate them for is comfort, and they cover all sorts of price ranges.
A friend of mine recommended the site TasteKid [www.tastekid.com] for that, although it pretty much covers all media. I do remember hitting one specific to books through stumble, but I can't recall the name >.<.
I'm honestly not sure if it'll be helpful or not, but going through the Google IO'11 videos, they did a session titled "Taking Android to Work" that you might be interested in. [www.google.com]
TouchWiz is just the launcher, you could change that just by installing an app. Two of the most popular launchers are LauncherPro [market.android.com] and ADW.Launcher [market.android.com] . They're free, so there's no harm in trying both and seeing you like! And obviously there are many more than that. I also suggest…
I'm not sure about forwarding it to an IM client, but you could use an app like the recently featured LazyDroid ( [lifehacker.com] ) or RemoteDesktop where you can access your phone's messages (among other things) from a web browser. Alternatively, you could switch over to Google Voice, where you can send/receive…
Thirded, you do have to root to get rid of em. My preferred method is using TitaniumBackup. It has an option to Freeze apps, basically uninstalling them, but you an thaw them out when you want (because you may have to have those installed to get OTA updates).
Depends on the circumstances, I would think. I've had many teeth pulled out, and would by FAR recommend an oral surgeon as opposed to a dentist - that first experience was horrible.
Seconded - I absolutely love them. Even better if you dip them in a mixture of melted butter and brown sugar (sure it lowers the healthiness rating, but dang is it good).
I've had such trouble looking for a new IM client. All my contacts are through MSN, but the 2009 version crashed too much, and the 2011 version makes me wanna take a machine gun to the MS offices. Pidgin, InstantTalk, and aMSN all didn't show other peoples' profile pictures (or show mine to them), so I'm on MirandaIM…
Not sure about that, but I'd *love* to know how to disable the left/right arrow keys. Can't tell you the number of times I'm pressing down to scroll through comments and accidentally hit the wrong key. So insanely frustrating.
Congrats! On both accounts, even. I've only had my Android phone since last fall, but already I love it and can't believe I didn't get one sooner. In addition to emichar's apps..
You can download various versions of Wireless Tether at [code.google.com] , though keep in mind you do need to be rooted.
Maybe the stock Fascinate is just okay, but once you root it and start using developers' ROMs and such, I honestly love my phone. I still hate Samsung for how late we could get 2.2, but at least the good folks over at xda were able to get it out somewhat sooner - and honestly, I trust them much more than whoever…
I would also guess that you would have at least a bit more success on a computer HD, since it is physically larger than an iPod one. Larger means that it'll contract more in the cold, which may juuust be enough to get data off it.
Minor details. Nothing a few bank robberies can't solve.
