Things our kittens play with:
I do as well. Not sure if it's only for rooted phones, but you can see the internal memory as well as the SD card.
I had that same problem too! It was on Christmas even, so I was almost more excited about that than the holiday. And none of my friends/families read LH/Giz, so I couldn't brag to anyone.. But congrats!
Hah - Oh I'm not sure about that, my opinion of this place is generally a good one, save the layout. : P You gotta let the newbies get close, *then* you tar'n feather them.
I learned the hard way not to vacuum the keys on my laptop.. Nothing like digging through a bag full of dust, dead bugs, and cat hair to find a stupid chunk of plastic.
First - welcome to Lifehacker! Belated, maybe, but welcome to the commenting part (which imo is at least half of why I come here).
Unrelated: Going to see Rush tonight, woo!
That, and using images. It's one of the main reasons I still use an offline word processor.
I believe there is a way to replace your stock launcher with LP if you like, so that it doesn't have to stay in memory. I haven't done it myself yet (Samsung Fascinate), but I've read about it. You would need to be rooted, though.
While you're correct, that's with task managers. LP (and other launchers) is more of a GUI thing, it keeps track of homescreens, icons, widgets, ect.
Thank you!
Interesting, there's a picture of a one-eyed cat named Pirate at my vet's office. It'd be funny if this was the same cat.
I know some phones (like my Fascinate) are able to take screenshots using ShootMe without rooting. No idea why, and it's only a few phones that can, but worth a shot at least.
Alright, now that I've ordered my new laptop (yay!) I need a new backpack (double yay!) because my current one juuust fits my current laptop, and the new one is 2 inches bigger (at 15.6"). I know many of you love the Timbuk2 bags, and I really want to get one, I just have a few concerns first and was wondering if any…
If you use Firefox, there's an add-on called LeechBlock that I've used before. You can customize it quite a bit (ex. "Only let me on Lifehacker for 10 mins every hour"). [addons.mozilla.org]

Two things:
Seconded (or fourth..ed..) here, although I use KeePass and throw the answer in the Notes section. It's even more fun when it's the "make your own question" ones - gibberish for both!
Look on the bright side - you can now look in the street for spare street-sweeper-teeth to use as lock picks!
