Calling people out over the internet to get "likes" is dumb though, that's my point. Most of the haters and/or racists are (in my mind) older generations who had to go through de-segregation and stuff like that. I don't want to speak for anyone else, but living here in CA, I see a lot less racism than what I perceive

No worries - I didn't notice any typos. :) And I do understand where you're coming from about not wanting to point out to your friend that he was being treated unfairly, if he didn't notice.

I get it. The thing is that your silence (and the silence of white people when they witness racist acts, because you don't want to embarrass the racist) is part of the problem. It perpetuates the idea that everything is OK, that it's store policy, etc. - when in reality it's that some shoppers can use one form of

Your well-intentioned white friend who says that black people shouldn't be angry isn't very well-intentioned at all. She doesn't believe that black people are human beings. If she did, she would recognize that they react with anger to the same things that would make her react in anger, if they happened to her or

You should have said that you have purchased items at the store many times with $100 bills.

That made me laugh. I hope she learned from you how to do it better.

This looks like what Courtney Stodden used to do, pad her bras and dresses.

Here's the thing, though. A woman doesn't know what it feels like when you squeeze this, or pull that on a penis. You would have more experience with that, knowing what it feels like to have people touch your penis.

Yeah, it would be tough. I adore my siblings, and my nieces and nephews. The most hurtful part of this whole thing for Mack's siblings must be knowing that their sister is a callous, cruel, selfish person.

She seems to have a lot of siblings - her dad had other children.

What are you talking about?

No, I want to talk about America, where I live. I want to call out racism and not allow it to be swept under the rug by people like you.

Racism has been an accepted part of US customs and laws from its inception until today. I don't understand how you could disbelieve that the US wouldn't be full of racist people. It was OK to send lynching postcards. It was OK to be in lynching postcards, posting like you were at the Founder's Day picnic. It's OK

Perceptions won't change if people hate and fear black people. That's the root of it, period. They hate black judges, black professors and black clergy. This is not about what black people are and are not doing - it's about people refusing to see others as fully human and as individuals.

Black people already are consumers, though. And black people who do have college degrees are still treated poorly in shops. It's not "all about the green." The way to deal with it is for retailers to treat their customers with respect, and to not view race as an indicator of buying power.

A higher college graduation rate in order to be treated with dignity by retail workers? Really? The fault is not because black people aren't doing the right thing; discrimination happens because people are racist. It happens to black professionals, celebrities and billionaires.

Which of my "attempted" edits do you disagree with?

Again. Since you are so concerned about correct grammar in general, I would like links to the other editorial corrections you've made to other articles on this blog.
