I don't get why people hate the concept of "S/He's Not That Into You.' So many people convince themselves that X is "afraid to love," or whatever - when really, s/he doesn't want to make the effort or care enough to try. I feel like it's a wakeup call and a statement to move on to someone who actually appreciates

This is the truth.

He probably single handedly spawned the hipster generation.

Petrovksy was awesome, until they had to kill off that storyline and they turned him into a jerk. ;) (I get that mileage varies though.) They always did that on the show - the boyfriends were great until the episode of the breakup. Dreamy Blair Underwood Doctor was perfection, until they had to end his storyline

He always looked like he just fell out of bed. ;)

TEAM BERGER???!!!??? He was a tool from Day 1. ;)

The annoying neighbor girl was much creepier than Robot Vicki. ;)

I also found that this season of Louie freaked me out. It was like I couldn't comprehend these people and it was really unsettling.

I couldn't watch the first season of Supernatural at night because the flaming mother on the ceiling freaked me out too much.

It's her bag. She can do whatever she wants with it.

I'm a dipshit because I don't sympathize with this liar? Because I'm outraged by her lies?

Deluded about what? She defamed him and deserved to be punished. This is the very definition of defamation. That he decided to drop it is because he's nicer than I would be, but her lies shouldn't be without consequence. To people who believed her, she deliberately smeared his name. Nobody cares if she was doing

If I wasn't clear at first and you call that backpedaling - fine. I'm not a MRA person, so I'm not approaching the situation from that viewpoint. I'm approaching it from mine (and I assume, yours — that of believing people who accuse others of rape). Again, did you believe her? People are supposed to believe her,

Backpedaling on what? Answer the question - did YOU believe her?

People of conscience believe accusers. That's the accepted approach - that's what feminists do. This woman was lying, and to people who believed her, she defamed Oberst by calling him a rapist. I don't understand why you feel that this is trivial.

The enlightened approach to accusations of rape is to believe the accuser (because most of the time they are telling the truth). You are here; you know that.

And with that, you have revealed yourself. :)

I'd suggest that she meet with the accused and personally apologize. She would then volunteer her time to help spread awareness on rape, the realities, and treating it with the seriousness it deserves (instead of using it to get attention).

You sound like a troll — actually a MRA troll whose intent is to make feminists look bad. This false accuser's life wouldn't be ruined by community service, or a fine, or anything else. It's only Conor Oberst's good grace that he didn't pursue it further. I'm not weird for thinking that someone who lies about

A false accusation was made on an obscure internet forum for attention. Is it to be expected that his would be picked up by media outlets and made national news?
