Central Illinois here. We have tornadoes and crappy food. I daydream about moving all the time and I've only lived here for a year and a half.
Because air travel isn't unpleasant enough? For fuck's sake.
I have crazy dry skin on my hands and also really sensitive skin. I've been using Dr. Bronner's baby balm on my especially rough patches and it has worked great.
I love ducks. I'm terrified of geese, though. They are mean. I used to live on a river and they would chase me while I was trying to walk my dog. I don't fuck with geese, dude.
Thanks for the tip!
Aveeno irritates my skin something awful, not sure why.
I have ridiculously sensitive skin and I can use either Oil of Olay (the plain unscented kind) or Cetaphil. I personally can't wear SPF everyday without getting a little irritated but these brands are a pretty safe bet to try. I just live in the shadows like a vampire.
He does, but there are lot of fun characters that are not included in the show. The books are actually much better than the show!
Whatever it was absorbed back into my leg and I was fine. I was mostly embarrassed fir going to the ER for no reason.
Once I thought I had a blot clot and went to the ER (had a hot spot on my leg that moved, it was weird.) Anyway, the nurse told me that my foot would be swollen if I really had a blood clot. I never found out what was wrong with my leg, but I was fine. Long story short, you're probably fine. (From one hypochondriac to…
The Sookie Stackhouse series has a scifi theme and a good amount of sex. They are kinda campy, but are a great guilty pleasure.
I am very sorry to hear about what you are going through. As someone who also grew up with an abusive father, I understand the powerful emotional hold that person can have over a family. I was the only one who ever stood up to my Dad either. He maintains to this day that he never hit me, and that I'm just being…
The breakfast sandwiches are a blob of microwaved eggs on a flatbread. They are gross.
I am not Jewish, but I'm a Philly girl living in the rural Midwest and I just wanted to say that I feel your pain. We are liberal and not religious and sometimes I feel completely out of place here. What I would do for a good bagel.
Would it be possible to reduce your hours at work to part time? I work at a non profit that employs a lot of social workers and we seem to be pretty open to that sort of thing.
I totally understand. I recently found a decent full time job after a year and a half of looking. It was so depressing. At my work we focus on the resume and application and don't really pay attention to cover letters. I relocated to the Midwest where no one cared about my degree or my 9 years of work experience.
I think if you have to ask the question, then you know the answer. Go with your gut.
If you are into guilty pleasure sci fi stuff, I loved reading the Sookie Stackhouse series. I recently Netflixed Being Human, which is along the same vein. Fun series.
If it makes you feel any better, I work in HR and we don't really pay any attention to cover letters at all. They are just fluff.
